Does anyone know which brands use the nylon bags instead of paper ones? I've tried the cart mod with paper teabags and they're good the first go, but get soggy and clump together. So want to give the nylon one a try.

My 510 fillers are getting grotty and nasty tasting now. Even after giving them a thorough wash and dry. They also don't wick either. I have to top up all the time.

I though it might be the atomiser, but a new one was no better.

Last week I purchased Liptons Infusion pyramid teabags (Menthol and mint flavour) - following various threads I read.

The teabags (I think are nylon) are easily washable and reusable and are great with my SD. Topping up frequency is reduced and I havent had that dry atomizer burnt taste since using the teabag method.

There is no sign at all of anything melting and there are no stray fibres like with Fluval.

Hope this helps.

I can confirm that my local Tesco had these Liptons bags in stock:D
Stocking up ready. Hope that helps. If you can't get any Crash let me know and I'll post some over to you

Thats awful kind of you and I'll keep that in mind, hey i found a site awhile ago where you could just get the tea bags online without the tea inside them, I'll try to do some more research on that, and see how that works out for me first, but for now i'm stocked up on loads of blank carts so i've still got a bit of time to get my hands on some.

Just picked some up too. They aren't what I was expecting. I was thinking they'd be more meshlike like tights or a net curtain.

But they certainly ain't paper.

I also picked up a nice aluminium torch for modding purposes :)

Good luck with that I just gave up on the modding stuff i'm just no good with tools unless i'm trying to destroy something. :D

i am interested to hear if anyone is actually using tea bags inside their cartridges. what's the difference with the standard polymer material?

Hi,

I am using the tea bag material from the Lipton Infusions in my ScrewDriver (901 carts).

I decided to try them becuse the SD is a juice hog (not that I have a problem with that, the satisfaction I get from the SD is unparallelled for me). The issue I had was the cart was not able to wick the liquid quick enough for the way I use the SD. When I vape I am constantly dragging on the SD - cant help it - the combination of draw/vapour/flavour/consistency is the best I have experienced but the standard cart material cannot keep up with the SD's demand for juice (or rather the way I vape the SD).

So I am currently using the Lipton teabag material and it is doing the job very nicely indeed. You have to be careful with the amount of material. When I first tried it I used to little (bit of atomizer flooding) then too much (held on to the liquid too well because not enough air flow). So I have now found out what is right for me - and I am satisfied.

Currently I am using it in "concertina" type fold as opposed to rolled up and it is working great.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Kula.

They've been working well for me and get over the problem with the 510, similar to that SD issue, in that it was burning off the juice at the top of the cart before it could wick.

However I had one incident where I hadn't packed one tight enough and came back to my desk to find my 510 in a puddle of juice! Thankfully it wasn't in my pocket or anything :)

There's some threads around in the modders forum I think. Methods vary from person to person and cartridge to cartridge type.

Basically empty it out, cut any glued/crimped bits, then roll one or two of them up, pop it in, then trim to size.
