first post - of 5 to gain more access. somehow not surprised to find what has happened to e cigs, esp. given my experience so far. long time tobacco smoker. quitting weed was easy, all it took was 'want'. That was 1987.

cigarettes not so easy. marb lights for years, then switched to 'pipe tobacco' shaggies. tried chantix, tried blucigs, both very inconsistent. back on chantix and its working but...

now looking to switch to e again and i discover what has happened to the delivery devices, which brings me here...

My wife wanted to try the chantix then we talk to a friend who use to be on it. Seems some of the population on chantix become mildly suicidal...so i opted for the ecig. Great stuff. The diet cola of real cigs. 2 weeks now. I sneak a puff every now and then but for the most part it sucks. I'd rather be smoking bubblegum, blueberries vanilla or a close approximation of an analog then what cigs taste like now that I have my sense of smell back.

Yup.. I started to slow down on analogs, found out that they didn't taste near as good as vaping, and since I was vaping, found CIGS no longer gave me that (rush, needful, wished for.. don't know.. ) X that I was used to for cigs. So it was like, why am I sucking in this horrible tasting thing that make me cough? It was easy to transition within a week.

Have I wanted a ciggarette since I switched? Sure have... even had 1... yup.. 1 after about 3 weeks... realized there wasn't anything there for me anyway, and wash my mouth out with menthol vape afterwards

Just keep trying... these things work if you let them, and you want them to. If you were a heavy smoker (1 PAD or so) start with 24MG or higher... and don't worry about moving to 0 nic, reducing your nic is for later if you want... for now, it's about satisfying the monkey on your back.
