It's an issue with all food grade silicone. I ran into the same issue with a rum, cola, lime, I mixed up (tasted great for a few hits, then it got old REAL quick). Ruined every flavor I put in afterwards.
What I found that helped clear it up (compiled from various sites dealing with silicone cooking utensils):
1. Make a baking soda, water solution and let the base gasket and the upper hardware sit overnight
2. Put the two in the sun for a day or two.
3. Put the two into an ultrasonic cleaner with 90% or better isopropyl alcohol.
This took out 95% of the bad flavor, then just using a new flavor after awhile it was all gone.
You might have some tarnishing on the upper hardware after the baking soda soak, but you can buff it out.
Now, this won't get rid of the discoloration. But you can order a new gasket from Aspire (
