I have this Smoktech Redux Rebuildable clearomizer and when I first started vaping out of it you could hear that nice crackle sound you get when you fire the battery. I suppose that sound is from the juice frying on the atomizers hot coil? Anyway, It still hits fine and produces a decent amount of vapor but is doesnt make the crackle sound anymore and the draw just feels more airy now because of it. I replaced the atty/wick head with a new one and again no crackle sound. Is there something wrong with it or is this normal for clearomizers? Sorry if this is a dumn question lol. The only reason I raised an eyebrow to this was because like I said, it crackled at first but now it doesnt so I thought that was strange.

I rebuilt my ReDux and it does indeed have that crackle, as it did with the stock parts.

It has an airy draw, so its definitely not juice caught any where.

I'm not sure what it is about the ReDux as I've got a stardust & VVN setup exactly the same way and they don't have that pronounced crackle. Maybe something about the drip tip funnels the sound better. Its something different for sure.

How loud is it?
Just because its airy doesn't mean it doesn't have any juice trapped inside.

I have gotten a GURGLE sound when juice is trapped in the airhole and you can hear it when you take in a draw but im talking about that crackley sizzle sound it makes just by firing the button. For instance, and I know this is a different but I have a carto tank and when I just fire the button (without drawing from it) it makes that sound like if you had pop rocks candy on your tounge. Its a good sound and means its working good. My Redux used to make that sound and now it doesnt and Im getting a much more airy draw. It seems when it was making that crackley sound it felt better on the draw. It makes me like my carto tank much better thats for sure.
