I have no clue. It could be blue glass or some liquid from years ago, when some added coloring. Heck, it could even be tinted water, just to make it look pretty.

If it's Ty-D bowl, it's been diluted.

If I can recall back to the 70's accurately, I think that happens after the first few "uses". Momma loved that stuff.
