Odd question about tatroe rings

I have searched and searched but haven't found anything. Has anybody painted, or had a tatroe ring powder coated? If I get a black provari, I'd like the extension to be black as well.

Need clarity. Are we talking about the top ring? As in beauty ring? Or the extension ring?

If it's the beauty ring. You're better off with a black derlin one from Loki Labs.

But regardless, I can share through experience that paint won't hold up in the long run on SS. At best you can heat it in the oven and spray it with VHT engine enamel and it will last quite a while, but if it is handled a lot and subject to abuse, it will ding and scratch quickly.

Powder coat is a more durable option, but more costly.

I'm looking for a black extension tube for the ProVari, like the Tatroe Ring, to take a ProVari Mini to 18650 with the standard extension cap. Something like a Tatroe Ring with a satin black Cerakote coating...

I already have the Loki Pro Ring. Guess I could just buy a stealth ProVari Mini instead à la http://vaporforce.pinnaclecart.com/standard-systems/provari-stealth-mini-version-2.5/

Kir Fanis used to manufacture an 18650 battery extension cap for the Mini that could be ordered in black, but I don't believe they produce it any longer.

I read that the Kir Fanis black extension's paint rubbed off; he replaced all the bad ones, and hasn't offerred them since. Personally I like the look of the PV Mini over the standard, and with an extension tube it's more flexible... ProVape should offer extensions in the same colours and finishes as the PV Mini.

What a shame! I just ordered 1 too many of the wrong size battery and that would make them work....lol

Looks *exactly* like mine Yes, I like the SS Tatroe ring like that too, but was curious if there's a black one around. For those days I'm dressed as a ninja.

If one were mechanically inclined, one could cut the bottom off of a black ProVape ext, and run a thread tap to accept another ProVape ext cap into the bottom. It'd be a lot of work for very little bang, but would be very respected. I may put it on my list of ProVari stunts. I will let you know how it turns out. If I can get one to go smoothly, I can make many.

Considering a similar question: Shall I get an extension cap and 1 Tatroe ring, or standard cap and 2 Tatroe rings.
So - thanx for the photo - I think mine's gonna look a lot like yours!
