Don't know why I am having problems with this rda but I seem to spill juice out of it at very bad times. I don't think I flood it, never vapes like it is flooded, but somehow I often end up with excess juice in the wells that will spill out the air intakes if I tilt the mod...like when driving...and wearing expensive dress shirts!

Ruined my second today...sigh. Loved that shirt.

If I factor in the cost of the clothes I have ruined this has become a veeeeery expensive RDA.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Well, there's a bit but not a ton I guess. Using KGD right now so not packed with wick.

My Cyclone hardly ever leaks, have to over-squonk it to the point I force juice out the air slots but it drains so well it never seems to leak if I tip my Reo. Haven't had any issues with my new Nuppin' either. May need to avoid the Odin for drive time if I can't figure it out or just switch to the tried and true leak proom RM2 when I'm suited up.

Yeah, I find the wells of the Odin hold a fair amount of juice when I use longer wick tails, which leads to some leakage when the mod is tilted.

Couple of choices then...

1) use RxW for wicking - the material seems to hold what it holds and the rest drains away. I don't get any build up in the wells when I use RxW.

2) shorter wick tails - treat it like a RM2 and keep short wicks that don't allow juice to accumulated in the wells.

3) Stain the whole shirt with juice when you have an accident so the colour is even :)

LOL... Too funny PapaL, like the stain the whole shirt idea.

I'll try shorter wicks tomorrow, don't have any RxW I don't think. I've seen it discussed, honestly not even really sure what it is.

I've tried short, long, tilted coils, farther from air holes etc etc
Still some slight leakage during my daily travels.
I posted about it the other day and someone suggested it could be a drainage issue with the odin itself.
I really like the Odin just this one small thing is sometimes annoying.

I hear ya, like the Odin a lot but the leaking thing is a problem for on the road vaping for me. Not a huge deal, I'll just switch the topper when I'm out and about and vape the Odin when I'm at my deak in the home office.

I think the problem is that the dual drip wells are huge and the deck is flat. If you tilt the atty while squonking I'm sure there would be a puddle of juice that doesn't get sucked back down into the bottle. Isn't a problem when I'm vaping at home but when I'm trying to drive and blind squonk I can't worry about making sure my Reo is absolutely vertical.

All in all it's a small gripe but it cost me two expensive dress shirts which is a bummer. To make matters worse I had only worn the one today maybe three times.

This response is not meant to offend anyone here and if I have offended you, I apologize in advance...

I will agree that the Odin, will and does, have a leaking problem no matter what type of wicking you are using. I use the 2mm RxW in mine and have had leaking issues. One thing I did to resolve my leaking issues was to pick up a Serenity Gear holster for my grands and I haven't had any problems at all... They have a belt clip on the back side that keeps the device standing upright all the time. I also keep my air holes facing the front and back of the device so that when I am sitting down, even if the device is tilting, the juice stays inside the top cap. I can post pics of the atty later. These holsters will work with a 22mm atty and the safety strap over the button. Plenty of room and no binding.

I had some leaking out of the air holes through normal vaping until I backed the coils inwards just a smidge. I had used my RM2 sensibilities originally and placed them right at the outer edge, and I found that juice was collecting on the cap (and thus, out the air holes) due to the atty's design shape. This didn't address the juice buildup in the well, though, which I found went away when using RxW (2 mm).

I think the simplest hack is penny's - turn the cap sideways when not using. I do dig muzichead's entirely non-offensive holster, too, though.

I never get juice out of the holes unless I over squonk and it comes running out.

I don't lay my mods on their side.

If I have to pocket a mod for more than a few minutes I'll put it in a sunglasses holder case so it stays upright.

I never put a mod in a breast pocket either, especially one with a big ol RDA on top cause it's either gonna fall out when I bend down or stretch the shirt.

It is important to gently release the bottle to help evacuate the juice in these juice well attys and even more important to vape em near the point of dry hit when putting em in your pocket.

IMO, the design of the Odin makes it very easy to over squonk. The negative connections are on a flat shelf, instead of vertical posts, like most other RDAs. Excess juice will lay on the shelf, and may run out the air holes. I've practiced with my Odins, squonking with the cap of, in order to get a feel for how hard to squeeze the bottle. It doesn't take as much as one might think. It's not necessary to fill the well, if the wicks are going down to the bottom. Just a light squonk, and slow release does the trick.
i'm like Super_X. I never lay mods on their sides, regardless if it's a Reo, or anything else.

Thanks for all the tips.

I never lay my Reos on their sides, actually never lay any of my mods on their sides as I feel it promotes flooding. I have experienced this leakage while blind squonking and driving, can't exactly lean forward to vape in that situation so the mod was tilted when vaping. I am certain I over squonked so it just my own error so not a knock on the atty at all, love the Odin, but it does point out to me that I should be more careful when driving and perhaps just use an RM2 or at least switch to a Cyclone for spill avoidance reasons.

Unfortunately was vaping Boba's both times so the stains are dark, I'll see if the dry cleaner can work any magic but I highly doubt it.
