I need some help in choosing an odorless or as odorless as possible e-liquid with a strawberry (or alternatively, vanilla) flavor. It's not for me, but for my father who is a very heavy e-cig smoker (think 3 or 4 18650 batteries a day...) and the StraBerry Beach from PVLiquids (I do the Bounty Hunter, and I like it), is killing us in the house - everybody is complaining about the odor and the extensive sweetness in the air that gives us a heartburn sensation...

Any recomendations would be hugely appreciated!

Let me put it this way; leaving a very faint scent that dissipates into the air quickly is one thing; lingering heavy odor that disperses around the house giving us a headache and heartburn sensation is another! Obviously, there are various degrees of odor, and I'm trying to find a liquid that is as light as possible.

Might be a tall order...

I'm DIYing Unflavored and menthol (from crystals dissolved in PG with no other additives) and both yield completely odorless vape according to my son and wife. I know I can't smell it and they both say they can't either.

When my daughter's fiance is here I can smell all of his juices...and they are all flavored

Eliquid is composed of pg//vg, flavoring and nicotine. The amount of flavor and scent is controlled mostly by the amount of flavoring. The amount of vapor (produced by pg) can also add to the flavor and scent. Lots of vapor = more flavor and scent. If the liquid is 70pg/30vg it may help to get a blend that is closer to 50/50.

Be certain he is using quality equipment. If he is using a cheap bargain store clearomizer he may be missing half of the taste, sensation and nicotine. Also, make sure he knows how to adjust the variable voltage to the sweet spot to get the most from the equipment.

Depending on which chart you look at 12mg is considered light to medium. I smoked ultra-lights. 12mg works for me. He may be chain vaping because he is not getting enough nicotine in his system. Get bottles of 18mg and 24mg to see which works. Try a flavor with more of a vanilla flavor than strawberry. Vanilla should not be as annoying as strawberry. Unflavored with a drop or 2 of menthol, mint, cinnamon or a different fruit.might work. A bakery flavor - banana nut bread, pie or cookies.Try to get him to rotate at least 3 flavors. More is better. By vaping the same flavor repeatedly he may be setting himself up for Vapors Fatigue (vapors tongue). I've had it for over 2 months. There is no fun in vaping with the loss of the sense of taste and smell.

Get a portable air purifier with a HEPA filter. Read the labels to be sure the filter will remove smoke and odors from the air. Do not get a silent purifier as they do nothing to pull air in. 3M Filtrete filters are excellent. You may need to cut a 3M filter to fit the purifier. Put 3M filters in the AC system and furnace. Leave the fan running to pull the air into the AC filter. Place the portable unit in the direction where he exhales.

Good luck!

what set up is he using?
it sounds as if he's sub-ohming.nothing wrong with that per say.
however from the usage of batteries you indicated i am assuming
he's into chasing clouds.
if that is the case suggest that when in the house use an
ego type batt with an iclear or vision tank. tone it down a bit
as we say.
to say vapor is odorless pertains pretty much to cigalikes.
the more advanced the gear the more vapor, the more the smell
will linger.
trying a flavorless e-juice as suggested might be the better option.
regards
mike

Vanilla is more tolerable than strawberry in my opinion. I used to vape a strawberry apple blend and my wife would complain about the sickly sweet smell, but she has no issue with the vanilla I use in my DIY. Now when I smell strawberry liquid it turns my stomach.
Can't really recommend a vendor, but they all use too much flavoring for my taste anyhow.
