Yeti, I'm going about 1.5 - 2 days before I have to change the wick. I haven't tried cleaning yet. I've reused one wire setup, but I broke two that I tried to reuse earlier.
As an aside: it's a relief that others have had trouble with standard atties. I was constantly reading people's posts about how their atties last for months and the only cleaning they do is blowing them out. Heh. Not me. I can make it a day - or 2 if I'm gutting it out with the off flavor - before I had to clean or replace. Most of them didn't pop - they just grew hard to draw and the flavor was bad. And, after cleaning, I'd say only about half of those performed tolerably well. So I'd say I have to change the wick at about the same pace that I'd have to toss or clean a regular atomizer.
And totally OT:
Major, I use TV juice, too, and while it's mean on atties, it's my favorite. I finally gave in and accepted that I'm just not going to have atomizers that last long. They're the path, after all, while the vapor is the destination. My primary vape is butterscotch buttercream cupcake. The one before that was German Chocolate Cake. Both have gunked up atties and cartos like nobodiesbizness. I have gone through some atomizers. Ody was practically a financial necessity. Well, maybe not a necessity, but I hate waste and I felt like I was going through way too many atomizers. heh
Let's see - doing the math: Conservatively, I'd say I ordered 10 atomizers/mo. @ $45, which breaks down to about $11/wk. I've been vaping the Ody for 1 week and have gone through about half of the NR wire ($2 based on ordering by the pack) and a negligible amount of R wire, and about half of the wick that came with it ($2, ibid), so my "atty" build cost for the week has been approx. $4. Which will be even less once the bulk wires come. So I'd say, long-term, it's a pretty solid investment on a financial and an overall enjoyment basis. And I got to lower my juice from 24mg to about 16mg. Chaching.
