Hey there!
While we await the arrival of Mr. Vicks, I thought I'd toss this out there:

What would you think if you created an avatar and discovered someone you didn't know was using it?

Discuss it among yourselves. I'd love to hear opinions on this

Someone Stole your avatar? I think if it happened to me, I'd be a bit ......, but I think I'd just switch to a new one, cause I grab my avatars off the net.

I'm crusin' along, reading in places I've never been before when I freaked at a post I couldn't remember writing -- until I realized it wasn't me!! LOL

When I'm scanning the forums, I normally associate people with their avatars more than their names. I had a heck of a time getting use to Vick's getting rid of kitty quick litter (the wicked witches at least are in a theme, so that's been easier! LOL) & when Velvet changed her username - it was harder for me to get use to her new avatar than it was her new name! 8-o

On one side of the coin of thought: this isn't something that I just lifted off someone else, exactly. It was created from a 50 year old cig ad that I cropped and a friend changed the brand name to read "vaping".
On the flip side of that coin: it's an avatar. Who hasn't seen one and lifted it.......just normally not used in the same forum! LOL

I was going to just drop her a PM and just say "Nice avatar ", but I didn't know if that would sound catty. If the average age for e-cigs is 40, she may not be that familar with 'forum etiquette' and I'd hate to make someone feel uncomfortable.....but I don't want anyone thinking I wrote something I didn't! LOL

So, instead, I decided to just get your thoughts on how you'd feel if you saw someone using your avatar.....please, continue!

hey Vicks - how did you get your avatar so big?
I want a big one.

If I keep rubbing my JS, will my avatar get bigger too?
I'm loving this lil thing! still working on finding the right stuffing for me, but an angel sent me a new product idea last night, so I'm going to be trying that tonight.

In the meantime, I'm dripping, which is giving me a chance to use up the lil bit amounts in my JC sample bottles. I'm just finding rainbows all around me lately

Today, while adding some pic to my photobucket account, I discovered my albums were all set to 'public' instead of 'private' viewing.

The light bulb went off. What do you know; when I did a search for "vaping" - vwaa-laa! there was my avatar - 3 times to be exact of the three different sizes in my album! LOL

Now THAT makes sense!! LOL

I'm sooo glad I listened to that little voice in the back of my head that told me something was up & there was more to it than just a case of someone saw it on the forum and decided to use it!

I got a bigger avatar because I support ECF - I tossed in a donation way back when, and got the perks that go with the dollars.... the bigger avatar, and the ability to change my title (under my name)
