"off topic" need help with profile picture

I apologize for wasting space with this question....I have been trying for days to put a picture on my profile. Can't seem to figure it out. I know it has to be a certain size..is it 150 X 150 pixels? I tried photobucket and none of the codes work? How do I do it???

If you Google Avatar Sizer on the web you'll find a bit of free software (excellent imho)that I used for this purpose.
