1.5ohm DC's flanges are round at the bottom and 2.5 ohms have 2 flat edges on the flange I believe. I don't think either one will change anything on your tank since the flange is only there to stop the tank from sliding down, not provide a seal. There should be a gasket inside both end of your tank caps for that.
Both the 1.5ohm and 2.5ohm DCT cartos have flat edges. The large (6+ml) DCTs still have round shoulders on the v1s, but the v2s of the large tanks (like the v2 eGo tank) are supposed to be keyed on the bottom for the DCT carto flange to lock into.
I wish the big tanks would be slotted, i do find it difficult to screw the tank on securely and to get it off at times unless the drip tip is really tight, it is not life or death though

True. Though my Silver Bullet gets a little grabby sometimes and won't let go of the damn carto, so I end up having to slide the tank up and twist it off that way. And it's not like I torque it down tight or anything, for some reason my SB is just kinda that way.
It depends if you back to back them. If you then yes you should slot or enlarge.

Did you have to enlarge the hole or did all your 70/30 juice work as is? I have seen a bunch of reviews that said they needed to enlarge the hole. (they are older reviews though)

I know this was not addressed to me but i will chime in, I have enlarged the hole on a couple and the difference with 70/30 was negligible in my opinion, it vapes well either way, plus i pierced the tube in the middle on one and that was no good
i am gonna try the slot method as i just found out we have a Dremel, to see if it makes a diff....
What voltage are you running them on therealcmac?
I've been running mine on a 5v box mod and find if I back to back it dries out to quickly with the stock hole

i am only using the LR cartos with them, cause they did not have the 2.5 ohm ones when i ordered last, so i guess that would mean i am topping out around 3.7ish on my Lavatube? i could be wrong there, i suppose i should have mentioned that since the lower voltage would burn less juice...
Okay makes sense. I have done slotted cartos in the past and found they are better with all forms of juice (unless its really thin).
Been too lazy lately to try it with the these tanks
Ya i am guessing getting a good hold on the sucker while i cut is going to be the main issue, i have not tried to cut anything with a dremel so it will be a good learning experience
Have to wait for my cartomizer kit to get here on thursday to test it

Nope, hole worked very well with 70/30. Never a dry hit. A lot of people seem to think you need to enlarge the hole because it doesn't look like liquid could seep in there, but forget that the primary action causing liquid to access the filler (and therefore get to the coil) isn't so much pressure from the outside, it's suction from the inside. In fact, I do have one that has a 2mm hole drilled into it that worked fine (just the same as the 1mm hole it came with), and another slotted on both sides that either floods or doesn't wick worth a damn. I suspect the large slots are preventing enough negative pressure from sucking liquid into the filler.

A table vice would be nice, but what I have done in the past is just use a pair of needle nose pliers. Grip in the mouth piece end and cut.
Might want to try practice on a dead carto first just to get the hang of it.

Just got 100 510 kit's in today all black, next kanger order won't be in until after their holiday so probably mid feb. Until then I can't get anything else that hasn't been ordered. I will grab 5 colours of drip resistant auto batteries in the 280mAh.

Hey mopar - you wouldn't be carrying the stainless steel version of the smoktech 4ml tanks soon would ya?
Missed the boat on the smoktech order and it was BIG so it'll be like end of feb before we get new smok stuff that isn't on it's way(4ml tanks 1.7ohm single coil 35mm stainless) and then a top up of everything else. I will grab some next time.
