I have one tattoo on my upper right bicep. I got it on the Island of Hawaii in Kailua-Kona on the one year anniversary of my Dad's death while snorkeling in Kona at Two Steps. It is a Maile Lei around my arm to symbolize respect and remembrance with a necklace wrapped around it and hanging down in front. The necklace is a copy of the one he was wearing that day. It is a Hawaiian Hook Necklace which has been given to me now. Each year when my Mom and Dad went to Hawaii they got me a hook necklace. This one was truly special and one of a kind. My Dad had not gotten a necklace for me yet and I truly believe that the artist who designed the one my Dad bought for himself was meant to only have one as it was to be my Father's for a short time and then be passed on to me.

A few years before my Dad passed away my wife came up with a great idea for Father's Day presents for him. Rather than buying him stuff he already had or could buy himself we started buying him really special one of a kind gifts. We bought him things that we could do together as father and son. Tickets for him and I to see Jeff Foxworthy, Lakers Finals Tickets for us, Flight Simulation Dog Fights for us and a Biplane Ride for us. These gifts and the bonding moments they created were so fun and special and, now that he has passed, the memories are priceless.
