Overkill ? I dunno. But this is coming from a person (me) that when I say 'I'm Done' that's it, I really am. And that's all I do say too. I am the best friend anyone on earth could ask for. I'll do anything for a friend. People who know me in real life know that. But if you ever cross me, they also know that will end it. I demand the same respect I give others. Disrespect me and that's exactly what you'll hear. 'I'm Done' and I will walk away. Is that being a Bit** with a Capitol B ? Maybe, but that's the way I am. I have no time for petty drama, I got better things to do :)

:?: I have absolutly no idea iffin I answered your question or not :laugh:

Uhhh... It always seemed to me that a "B with a capital B" was someone who created and thrived in the petty drama...

But what do I know, I'm just a random a..h... who's not even good enough at it to get a capital A ;)

Sorry Ripple. :(
For me it was suede in the second round of regionals...that's a lot of pressure for a young kid!

My school didn't have a bee when I was growing up -- damned inclusive 70s bs!!!!

As the parent of an unathletic nerd it was one of the few times I could root for him in public, as a dad I was devestated -- I know its not about me but y'all know what I mean, being a parent and watching your kid screw up sucks so very badly......:(

But he did better than 75% of the other kids so I should be happy with that as he is!!!

Thanks for the all the likes, he needs the backbone tbh, its hardto be a klutzy teen male.....:(

On the plus side, a girl asked him to dance at the school dance, she's a cutie and it made his friends jealous!!!:thumb: He was wondering if he should have given her a kiss on the cheek after the slow dance and I had nothing to tell him. I never went to any, like I've said before, I never dated and didn't go out with anyone until I was 18. I still am quite pathetic at reading women and can't tell when its bemusement, horror, or desire when a lady looks at me. I knew being a dork and a dad would catch up to me someday!!!

Ladies, can you tell me what he should have done, please? :)

I am not a lady, but have been known to be a ladies man. What your young squire needs to realise is the girl feels as awkward and confused as he does.

Like the spelling bee, he should learn from this experience. Each time he does something, he will improve. How did he feel when the girl asked him to dance? Next time, maybe he can make a girl feel good by asking them.

Also, each of these times allows you to become a better parent. Know that he will always love you. And if he ever stumps you with a hard question again, ask him what he thinks he should have done. This makes him think through the situation, and gives you time to recover.

In the first place it's hard to be a klutzy teen female too ya know :) We've all been there even if some choose not to admit it  As for your question, that is kinda hard to have one answer to. It all depends on the girl. Some girls like and respect that a guy's not rushing into things. While others would think it sweet that he has shown affection. Then there's the girls who go and cry their eyes out cuz they think the guy don't like them nuff to kiss her. Sooooo, in my opinion he prolly did just what he should have , cuz he must have felt a kiss wasn't nessesscary in their relationship yet :) maybes

p.s. what do I know ? I'm just an old fart anyways :?:

Have him get into the Robotics program- it is a lot of fun for them, they learn a lot and can win scholarships and the Battle of the Bots competitions are fun to watch!
And I don't think he should have kissed her - first kisses of a couple shouldn't be in front of the whole school, just my :2c:.
