Official Kangertech coils or aftermarket for protank 2?

First post to the forum... Please forgive if this is not the right spot.

Does anyone feel that there is an advantage to buying replacement coils for my protank 2's that are Kanger branded over after market? As in the ones I've been getting from vaporkings. I vape aprox 5 ml a day of 6 nic (mostly 70/30 or 50 /50) juice but it seems I start to lose flavor and production within only 2 days. I am fairly new to the vaping world (6 months - evic) and at this point not quite interested in making my own or rebuilding coils. I simply want to get the best quality replacement coil that I can for my simple setup.
I have read and performed almost every tip for coil maintenance and cleaning but still do not feel I am getting the best experience from the coils I am buying online.

Thoughts, advice?

Thanks in advance!

Seconding a rebuild. The new stock heads with enclosed wicks are a pain. For me (a chain vaper) they last less than a day. The old style heads can be rebuilt to a single coil and will last you longer with some pretty awesome vapor production and much better taste if you use cotton wicks. Rayon wicks also seem all the rage right now but I have no experience with them.

The aftermarket one are very poor quality. Use authentic Kangertech coils. If you want better coils learn to rebuild them yourself. they are really easy and will save you lots of money. Once you get a good rebuilt coil its no problem to dry burn a coil and rewick instead of replacing the whole thing. I keep several built and ready at a time myself.

I've used both, and with the exception of one super cheap bulk batch they have been about the same. Even on the super cheap batch the ones that worked at all worked fine and it was still a bargain. I'm in the middle of a batch from Fasttech, and they are working fine, too. My next batch is going to be a bulk buy of genuine, just based on price and availability.

I can't rebuild, and am generally content with bccs. Probably the biggest factor is what liquids you use. I have one that will gunk up a coil in a couple of days, one that will go for weeks and a couple in between.

I have to agree with everyone pushing rebuilds. I used Kanger bcc tanks for several months and then went to carto tanks. I finally took the plunge and purchased a Kayfun, wire, a bag of cotton, and an ohm meter. After a couple of days I decided I might as well try my hand at rebuilding the drawer full of Evods, PT2s and various other tanks. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to try rebuilding. It really doesn't take more time and the difference in performance and taste is like night and day.

+1 for rebuilding.

Can't say there is a advantage over authentic vs. aftermarket. But there is a difference in components. Length and diameter of the chimney and coil holding pin differ, rubber or silicone insulator, taper or size of the wick openings.

Might be a non issue if you're disposing old heads.

But the value in rebuilding is saved in less than $10(25ft of gauge wire, your choice silica wick, or a bag of cotton) equal to 2 blister packs of 5 at discounted rates. Even at 6in of wire per build that's still 50 coils.

Rebuilt coils do perform and provide better flavor than store bought replacements.

It's a process, but once learned it becomes a knack and takes very little time to turn one out.

Cheers.
