I took the airflow screw out of my authentic KFL+, because I found the draw to be too restrictive with the screw in. Sometimes I do find some leakage (minimal) on the bottom of the KFL+ and the top of my P3 Provari. Probably has something to do with the PG/VG ratio of my different e-liquids and possibly differences in air pressure and temperature.
Well how about that.... I removed the AF screw and the airflow is now perfect on one of my authentic KFL+ tanks.

I vaped it for 15 min and left it for a few hours while I went out. No leaking yet at all. Weird as my authentics leak a tiny bit with the screw in! Likely just condensation or something, but I am enjoying the vape with it out more.

Thx for the great tip!

HI guys,

I am new to the whole Provari scene. I am in the process of getting a 2.5 and have some questions about the different options Provape offers when configuring the purchase. I will be getting the extension ring for the larger battery but I am confused by what the "P3 top cap with 510 and beauty ring" option is. I primarily use a 22mm GS tank that has a 510 connection as my daily tank but am looking into the carto tank option as well.

What is the difference between the regular top cap and a P3 with 510 top cap? Will my tank work without it?
What is the difference between the Tank Ring and the Beauty Ring?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thank you for your help :)

Personally, I would just get one of these to make your 22mm look good on the regular cap.

Thank you! So I dont need the P3 top cap to fit a 510 tank?

Nope. The 2.5 comes with a standard 510 connection. The P3 top cap only important if you plan on using a P3 threaded tank [emoji2]

If you are planning to use carto's, I personally would recommend the standard top cap, the old style top cap has a fixed pin and was designed for using carto's. The P3 top cap has a O-ring supported center pin, and though it should be fine, the old style slant top has a better juice cup for carto use, better as in it has more volume and can be cleaned without taking off the two rings making up the P3 top.

Personally, I dislike the old v1 - v2.5 beveled top cap. The different beauty rings never offer a flush fit unless your atomizer has an adjustable 510 pin. For cartomizers, the ring needs to be loose to facilitate air flow, and then it spins, which I find really annoying.

I purchased the P3 top cap option with my last two Provari Minis and I love them and I have no regrets. I think the flat P3 top cap looks great with both 16mm and 22mm atomizers and I'm so glad that I don't have to deal with beauty rings.

Do you have any pictures of the original and the P3 ones on your Mini's? I think the P3 top cap option comes with the beauty ring. I didnt see an option for just the P3 top.

The P3 does come with a beauty ring, but it serves a different purpose than the beauty rings that are meant to give the beveled top cap a flat look. There shouldn't be an option to get a P3 top cap without a beauty ring.

Oh ok! Now I see the difference. Thank you for the help.

I should have been more specific. I'm looking into the Innovape M1 ProTank type carto tanks. Would the P3 top still be at a slight disadvantage over the original top?

I guess it depends on what you would consider a disadvantage, dealing with a tank ring that is only held on by the tank, or dealing with removing the 510 ring and beauty ring from the P3 connection to occasionally clean the pin and rings etc. As posted, some folks found the slant top and it's tank ring to be annoying.

Rachel, this is a tough one. We all have varied opinions on the top caps, and the reason that many of us have both.

I believe you should be fine with either one. As others have suggested, if you do get the slant top, add in a tank ring for that oh-so-flush look.

@LarryPer - what are using in addition to the Pro Tank?

I don't MIND the tapered cap, but I much prefer the P3 cap on my 2.5/Minis.

I have good luck with the tank/beauty ring with bigger tanks and my wife still used Nautilus Minis, so she likes the tapered top. The P3 top is great with a P3 tank though. I love my Kabukis on my ap3 2.5's.

I just think the P3 is a much more solid top, but the pin ring can be a pain in the .... when using a Kabuki or other P3 tank.
