I don't know, Jim, but I expect that one of the many people who have both versions might.

I was actually referring to this one, not realizing it was also OOS. :-(
ProVari Extended Titanium Ring

THAT one got a fantastic review from "Duane from Fuquay Varina, NC United States". I don't know exactly WHO "Duane from Fuquay Varina, NC United States" is, but he sure SOUNDS like someone who knows his stuff. ;)

Yea, I would have swooped on it too but the Out of Stock Troll guards it. Foul Fiend! And the Ti version did not even list what it was threaded for so had you not said something I would not have even known it fit the 2.5..

Yes, I've noticed that they've gotten a bit vague with their descriptions lately. I'm not sure why....

Say, do you happen to know if a P3 extension ring will fit a 2.5?

All Provari tube mods are threaded the same.
The extension rings have no loyalty, although I wouldn't recommend mixing metals. Sometimes, using two different metals in an application such as threading them together, a fusion can happen over time. The Ti may fuse to the SS.
I'm not metallurgist, and may very well be wrong about these two metals. But better safe than sorry eh?

Anyway...the extension rings will all work with all models (of tubes).
The caps are all threaded the same as well, but Provape strictly recommends ONLY v2.5 caps (or Tatroe wide base) on v2.5 model devices. The P3 cap and High Performance caps will break the board loose inside the tube of a v2.5...

But did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

If someone finds out more, about these two specific metals (Ti & SS), please share. Since I DO use them together, I'd like to know definitively (if possible). If so, I'll stop doing it.

Grazie!

I interchange rings frequently. The Ti ProVari's came with SS end caps ;) I use ti rings on steel tubes, brass to steel, I have wondered if ProVape would sell me a few Black rings, they would go well with my black mini and some of the colored tubes.

Just dont use the brass rings on your third cousin. Heard that can get ya jailed in some states. :D

Question for you guys : is the limitation of the 2.5 mini still 14.5 watts/2.5amps? I bought one a few months ago, and it is just not warm enough for me. I think I need closer to a 3 amp limit. I usually run a 1.5 - 1.7ohm coil @ about 5.1v, or 15.3w. Seems te provari 2.5 cannot do that. Am I correct?
The 2.5 is 3.5 amp and 14.5 watts:

the 2.5 has the same specs as the V2, only cosmetic changes were made to V 2.5.

Thank you, ENAUD. I saw that in an earlier search, but i wasn't sure if it applied to the 2.5 version. Thanks for clarifying.

I guess it's a little disappointing, since I don't vape anything crazy. (nautilus mini or kayfun) I mean it was only $30, so it's not like I'm out $100+. I like the size and feel of the mod, but between the amp/watt ceiling, it is just not enough. I guess I could play with a few 1.1 or 1.2ohm builds and see what that feels like.

The lower you go with your builds, the quicker you are going to hit a ceiling, I find I like them best in the 1.6-1.8 ohm coil range, and when I build I use either 30 or 29 gauge wire. But then again, I'm a 7.5-8.5 watt vaper. My dripper right now has a 1.4 ohm coil in it, that's as low a build as I put on them.

Question for you guys,

Can the 18650 extension cap (for the standard) be used on the mini to fit 18490s?

Yup!

The Provari Mini v2.5 is my favorite because it is the most versatile! And that's why Provape introduced the P3 and New Classic in only the 18350 mode, with rings to extend for all three sizes. Gone are the days of two different sized models...except the Procyon which is a whole different animal.

Provari Mini + extension cap = 18490
Add an extension ring and you've got 18650.

The Regular/Long Provari v2.5 can only use 18490 or 18650.

Mini's, Classics, and P3's are my favorites because of the inherent flexibility they offer. My preference is actually in 18350 mode truth be told, as a 7-8 watt vaper, the smaller form factor is a major plus for me, that and the weight savings. Ti 18350 for the win :)
