So I decide that I love Kabukis, have my 4th on order (all P3) and sold all but a couple of my nautilus tanks.

Good initial plan except that I now have 7 2.5/Minis and only a few useable 510 tanks.

In any case, I am considering sending a bunch of the 2.5's back to the mothership to be upgraded. I sent ProVape support an email asking for pricing but does anyone know offhand if it is $20 like a new 2.5 or a different price. Also, can an authorized retailer do the 510 to P3 conversion?

Lastly, I am really digging the P3 connectors and don't think going with a couple of P3 to 510 converters is the answer. Anyone using P3 Kabukis with the 510 adapter though? If so, I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thx all!

Maybe you can get Zen to do them at VapeCon when he is here in Toronto.

I would send my upgrades to Zen. As he also secures the board while he has it.

Zen secures the board in a manner which doesn't rely on the glue dots to hold it in place ;) If you have a P3 top cap installed by him after he started using the O-ring sandwich trick, you can use a P3 endcap on that device:)

Out of all the ProVari/s I have, I've never had a problem with the board so why is Zen charging so much over what ProVape charges for something that doesn't normally malfunction?

As far as I know ProVape doesn't offer the upgrade to the P3 connector on already owned devices, it is an added value charge they put on a device they are selling. Actually, you have asked this same question like three different times now, like you have a problem with what Zen is charging:sneaky::grr: Remember, he was the one who went and asked ProVape for the OK to offer this service to those of us who asked and were ignored by ProVape.

Only after some time passed and ProVape started dumping the V2.5's, did they start offering the P3 top cap as an option. And then it was at a price less than half of what Zen was charging all along...And Zen has to purchase the P3 top cap parts, diss assemble the unit and solder on the new top cap, all the while being responsible if something goes wrong while doing this ( risk)...I think his pricing is very fair all things considered, and if it doesn't seem that way to you, no problem, don't have him convert yours! But Eff off if you think it's OK to bash him for asking a fair price for doing a modification to a ProVari for folks who do think it's a good deal, myself included :rolleyes::rolleyes:

That's just RUDE!!!

No I haven't asked it 3 times but thanks for counting. And I've never said no one should send their device to Zen- I seriously wanted to know why he charges double the price of what ProVape charges. And now that you mentioned it, since he's authorized by ProVape, why does he have to buy the parts from ProVape- wouldn't it be a given they'd send them to him free of charge?

And nope...I won't eff off for asking questions I want answers to. Sorry that seems to bother you......but I ain't mad tho.

OK, let's think about that red letter part. Zen is modifying a device for a customer, for a price. He is charging for that service which incurs labor, time, and parts. Nothing whatsoever to do with ProVape, the deal is between the owner of the device and Zen to modify said device. Why would Provape in any realm of possibilities be expected to offer the parts to Zen for free?
