I searched and didn't find so here goes the official unofficial movie thread.

AKA What's the last movie you watched.

Sometimes I have NHL hockey or a movie playing on TV while I do .... or read forums.
Last night Resident Evil: Retribution was banging away silly noises and pictures.
The series seemed so promising but it's just silly now.

I just finished watching Finding Forrester (2000) again.
What a great movie and plenty of Miles Davis on the soundtrack

Finding Forrester is a better movie then RE: R if you didn't already know.

Yesterday I watched Now You See Me and actually it was great. Probably the only movie I've seen which trailer was as good as the movie itself.

It's surprising to me but I think Jesse Eisenberg is a very good upcoming actor.

Let me rephrase that

I think he's a very good young actor but was surprised that I liked The Social Network as much as I did.

It's been awhile since I've watched a movie. I'm currently waiting for The Doom Generation to get here (my old dvd bit the dust)! :D I've also been busy re-watching Doctor Who on Netflix. ;)

Great to see another fan of Araki. You like all his movies or just The Doom Generation? Mysterious Skin is my favorite.

Lets see the last movie I watched was Fish tank and it was pretty great.

I'll have to see about checking other movies out.

His movies are hit or miss for me. Doom Generation was a lot of fun, Nowhere was ok I guess but I wouldn't watch it again, Kaboom I enjoyed but felt it was missing something, Smiley Face was funny but felt a bit hollow to me and Splendor for me was fantastic but a lot of people disliked it.

Mysterious Skin is incredible, it is not as bombastic as his other films but gets right down into the darker sides of human nature. Plus Joseph Gordon-Levitt is phenomenal in it.

Well, if you haven't seen the genius behind The Big Lebowski then you need to watch it or watch it again. The Dude abides.

I forgot about True Grit but don't think I actually saw A Serious Man (2009) yet.
What a .......ing slacker.
I'll watch for that On Demand.

I hope this movie gets to cable fast (Direct TV actually) because it looks pissa. Yup, I said pissa.
