Or religion, or both.... whichever, after a somewhat shaky start with my tempermental 901s (what? you need charging again? more liquid? did this atomizer just die? should I superglue the top of this battery back on?), I am now sitting here with my new idol, the USB pass through.

Holy jeez, the vapor is ridiculous! (thanks Steve) And my new vanilla and crisp menthol liquids from vapornine are simply yummy (sorry Steve, you were out). Upping the nic level to 18 mg helped also. A LOT.

Swoon~~~ I may never leave the house again.

I do have a question though. The atomizer seems to run much hotter when powered by a computer. Will this cause them to need replacing sooner? And if so, what's the best way to increase their life under such strenuous (and much appreciated) service?

11 hours and 36 minutes to go before trying out my new pilot, darn it, but at this point I'm thinking it can't get better than this!

The answer is ... no one really knows.

Logic would seem to dictate that yes more heat, more voltage would tend to shorten atomizer life (USB/5 volts vs. LiIon batteries/3.6 or 3.7 volts).

However, there is a competing theory that more voltage might actually help prolong life, by more completely vaporizing the liquid and thus leaving less build-up to clog and strangle the atomizer.

For example, in the modders sub-forum, you can find posts by Maddog who uses 6 volts (I think) in his magnum, and who swears that his atomizers are very long-lived. Others have posted similarly regarding other battery mods and the screwdriver as well, which although it doesn't use higher voltage, does use higher capacity batteries that keep their starting voltage for longer.

So, it's really anyone's guess at this point. ;)

I did a bit of swooning over the passthru too. :) So far my experience is no, it isn't shortening atomizer life, possibly the opposite. It seems to cut down on problems with clogging and residue. That's not from anyone else here though, just how it seems for my use.
