ohm & draw relationship? (4081 cartomizer)

Could someone explain the relationship between ohm and the resistance you experience when drawing a puff? Does higher rating = more difficult to draw?

I have a 4081 (smoke stick), and just tried out cartomizer blanks with a rating of between 2.5 and 3 ohm. I used 100% VG juice. I’m puffing away, but getting almost nothing: only a tiny bit of flavor, and tiny bit of vapor. The cartomizer warms up as usual, and I have properly filled it with juice, so I’m guessing my problem is the ohm.

What can I do about this? (if I draw any harder my eyes will pop out :p) Do I need lower ohm cartomizers, or something else…? Will the resistance I experience go away eventually?

I take it they aren't SS carto's ( they don't sell blanks)
One thing to try.. thin your VG out, it maybe too thick to wick properly , a few drops of PGA should do the trick( I've had issue's when I use my thick vg's in carto's.)

Yes, they are Goodprophet blank carto's and VG juice. I will have to get some PGA, I'm just starting out with vaping.

For any cartomizer-battery combo, to calculate you wattage (power/heat) use this formula:

W = V/Ω x V

Here's a nice explanation and a chart:

What battery are you using? Have you possibly overfilled the cartos? Try blowing out the excess liquid. All 4081 cartos come in the 2.5-3.5Ω range and they all work well. Something else is not right; it's not the resistance.

Ecopure usually wicks fine for me also. Now my stuff from ave juice is almost like syrup though. My carto said no lmao

I've only had one bottle of the GP VG and it was pretty thin so it shouldn't be a issue but not sure if that bottle is thin also or not.( I had a duh moment and kept thinking 100% vg even after second post saying it was GP's eliquid)

I also thought about it, after you juice up, let them sit and settle a bit so it wicks down toward the bottom and soaks in.

All else fails, try another carto out of the pack? It's not unheard of to get a dud or one that doesn't perform well.

Thanks for the ideas. I believe my SS is 3.4 volts… looks like I should be good there, with the 2.5 or 3 ohm cartos.

Goodprohpet’s VG looks fine to me, it’s thin like the PG juice I have. I added a bit to another carto (I had used VG juice in it for the pervious refill), and it vaped fine as far as I could tell.

I’m really puzzled. I also thought I wasn’t filling the cart enough because it was a blank, and I let it sit vertically and even added an extra drop, but no good. Barely any vapor, barely any taste, yet the carto is warming up like normal. Too strange.

I will try adding a drop of vodka or distilled water next, and then I will try opening a new cartomizer. What are the odds I would find and open the dud in a new package? lol.

Whatever is happening may not be related to ohm after all, I guess.
