...can someone please explain to me how to tell what specs my cigs have? why dont my 801 to 510 adapters work? and why does my trio battery die in four hours from using cartos? whats the battery killer...3.2 ohms, 2.8 ohms or 2.5 ohms? how do I know what i need to power the different atty's? should i just get the biggest baddest battery i can find??? whats mAh? and is that the time a battery will last or the power of the battery? is there a place to find the answers on one page? or do i have to ask each question as i discover the need to solve an issue?

Stick with 510 threads, no matter what you buy. It is the most common. You can buy parts all over the planet for 510. There are at least 8 different manufacturers in china of 510 models. I have no idea what a "trio" is, vendors re-brand models all the time, its hard to tell what you really have when they do that.

Egos are 510.

Mah=battery capacity---how long you can vape on it without it dying

Bellow 2.0 ohms is the battery killer on Ego and smaller vaporizers

Check the stickys at the top of the forum for more information, or be sociable, and we will more then likely answer everything.

The battery killer would be using an LR Atty if you did, which you are probably not on that unit, the trio is a small 280 mAh Batt I believe, your adapters do not fit it because it is not a 510/801/901 and you dont have the correct adapter, they are out there and I do have some.

mAh = Milliamps Hour (mAh) is important because it's the easiest way to distinguish the strength or capacity of a battery. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last. Batteries with different mAh ratings are interchangeable. If your battery is rechargeable then the mAh rating is how long the battery will last per charge.

Milliamps Hour is 1/1000th of a Amp Hour, so a 1000mAh = 1.0Ah

Think of a cars gas tank. Voltage is how much gas is being used, and mAh is the size of the gas tank. The bigger the gas tank (mAh) rating the longer the device will run. If your battery is rechargeable, then think of the gas tank as refillable (rechargeable).

As far as Attys go you can run any reg Atty on your Trio, the ones it comes with or any other with the proper adapter. As far as should you get the biggest baddest battery out there, well it depends on what your needs and wants are. PM me and I will fill you in on a couple of the finer things in the ecig world to help you out so you get on track, I will ask you what those wants and needs are for you then make the best recommendations I can to get you there, whether it is an Ego, Box Mod, variable Voltage Mod, Leo, Provari, or try the best I can to make you a satisfied vaping guru putting out plumes of great vapor ok

If you have automatic batteries then juice drips can be battery killers.

I don't know ohms much. I'm a software geek. Ohms is gnomes to me. But lower ohms attys suck power faster. If they are sucking power too hard for your batteries then they can kill the internal switches and electronics of the battery.

If you want biggest baddest then something like an Ego with mega Ego batteries? I think you can find at least 650 and 900mah ones, maybe even bigger. You can use low resistance attys on these.

Some smaller battery charge mah figures
Trio, Joye 510, KR808D-1 shorty - 180mah
Joye 510 Mega, DSE801, KR808D-1 standard - 280mah
KR808D-1 xl - 380mah

mwa can you answer a couple questions for me?

do you suggest any juice fed mods? or even a vapemate?

and i'm on the edge about 5volt mods, i'm looking at the big kazoo 5volt box mod but i dont know if i even need to goto 5volt.

i need something i can carry to work and not have to drip all day and the battery will last, i already have my ego-t's but i want something else too. i just don't know, big kazoo 5 volt or get a very nice 3.7 mod that i can throw on my ego-t atty + tank untill they restock MAP-tanks.

A 510 is not a must have, I dont agree with this, there are plenty of 801/901/ other ecigs that people are very happy using, me being one of them. I have a trio, what would you like to know, please PM me and I can tell you anything you would like to know about that unit

I agree. Telling someone that 510 is the ONLY option for vaping makes no sense. Every atty has positive attributes. And there are adapters for every atty so you don't need to stick with just 510's. At higher voltage levels (4.5v+) many prefer the 801 atty over the 510.

Everyone is going to have their preference. Personally, I like the versatility of mods. A good variable volt, or the awesome, but expensive Darwin. A reo mod is a juice fed that has a good following. But if you go with one that's not juice fed, the new MAP tanks fit on anything (510 connector, but can use an adapter to use it on something else).

Actually the REO is smaller and lighter than the wood mods and is made of aluminum. I've never had a problem with the door, and, when holding a Mini, it would be unlikely to happen.

My suggestion is a Mini REO. Holds 3ml of juice. Two AW IMR 14500 batteries will get you through the day. Rugged, easy to clean, and doesn't leak (I toss mine in my purse without worries). They will be available 3/1 at 7:00 PM on Rob's site reosmods.com

You really need to make a list of priorities. Do you want long battery life, compromise there is that it will be on the larger side vs a compact one that will need several recharges during the day. Juice fed? Strictly one voltage (3.7, 5?), or do you want the option of changing it up (VV).

Most are not happy with just one forever, your habits/wants/needs will change. There is Def a learning curve to find the one that will make YOU happy.
