I had bought a mod online and took it to my local vape shop. I had them build me a coil, and I bought 2 vtc4 batteries. Now, my question is, since my mod can't be connected to a ohm checker because it's a hybrid, could someone here somewhat find what ohms I might be at if i told you how they made my coil? They had to do a parallel coil on one side because the other negative post is positioned wrong. They used 7 wraps for this parallel coil and 26g wire. If anyone could build this coil for themselves and tell me what ohms you get, i might be able to figure out what i'm at. Thanks in advance. also, somewhat of a second question, could i build a dual coil using the same 2 posts? I wouldn't make them parallel coils.

This is why I bought my first mech mod at my local vape shop. After I picked out what I wanted they got everything set up to make sure everything was working right. Then one of the guys sat down a a table with me and taught me how to wrap my coils and test them. Then I made my own and tested them with him watching. It took about 45 minutes, but when I left I was ready to build my own coils safely.

Again, thank you to everyone who posted. I did a little rebuilding of my own. I took out the parallel coil and put in two single coils. So now I have a duel. I did this because the other one was getting way to hot. Although, I still don't know what my ohms are. lol But it seems to be working quite nice for now. I'm going to see my father tomorrow, I'm pretty sure he has a multi meter I can have. Until then, I'll be vaping the build I have now.
Don't vape it until you've checked the resistance. Also, dual coils commonly measure lower than single coils. Two coils in parallel (a regular dual coil) half the resistance. For example, two coils at 2 ohms will be 1 ohm total.

Look up Rip Trippers and the others on YouTube and watch them build coils. There are lots of good videos that show you how to measure a coil with a meter after building it. There's probably one showing how to build your particular hybrid safely.

I know it looks like people are being overly stern here in this thread, but they just want new mech vapers to understand the pitfalls of sub ohm coils before jumping in at the low end without understanding why low resistance coils can be dangerous.
