ohm reader question

When screwing on my atomizer to check the ohm, depending on how far down i'm screwing it, the digital display number jumps all over the place, especially as it gets screwed tight down to the bottom. Screwed down completely all the way it will show 0, then a little looser it can show a 0.5 then mid way screwing a few times it will show a steady 1.10 (which seems right since the atomizer is setup with a single coil being 7 wraps and 28 gauge kanthal)...

Just need to ask if my ohm reader is junk, or if that's normal for the ohm display shown to be that jumpy while your tightening down the atomizer.

I thought I had the same problem too. I notice its the most accurate the tighter you screw it because I compared my ohm reader with other ohm reading mods

try screwing/unscrewing the centre screw and see if it works. did that on mine and the reading stopped jumping.

you only need to ever screw it on finger tight, if you wrench it down, chances are you are causing damage to the connectors involved.

when it is jumping all over its not getting a good connection. So like SpaceCase said you may be damaging your Ohm readers connections causing it to jump. If you dont trust it get a multimeter and read ohms that way.
