So i recently purchased my first mech mod and its amazing. I have an igo l on it and it works like a dream. The only problem is i dont have an ohm meter. I use my Vamo v5 for it. So heres my problem, i did 5 wraps of 28g over a 2mm screwdriver aiming for .5-.7. When i checked the ohms on my vamo it says 1.1. Im not sure if my coil is built wrong or if the vamo is reading wrong. Thanks.

I agree with Susan, you need an ohm meter. However, in the meantime you could try using this coil calculator to get a 'second opinion'. Watch out for leg length, the actual diameter of the screwdriver and the actual number of wraps you made.

You should really have that DMM though. How are you checking battery voltage?

28 gauge, 5 full wraps and a 2mm ID with .3 inch leg lengths should give a ohm reading of around .93 ohms.
Do you have a full 5 wraps exactly? If the legs of the coil are coming off the coil on the same side then you will have an extra half wrap on one side. So is your coil really 5 wraps on one side and 6 wraps on the other side?
This could be where you are getting the 1.1 ohm from.

I can see that you are trying to be safe and checking the resistant on the VAMO. But you do know that you are playing with possible venting device with you sub ohm-ing with your mach?

Do yourself a big favor and get a DMM or Ohm reader.

Wrap some higher (1.2 and above ) before than!

Even with the best battery on the market "sony's V%'s", You will render it useless on a shorted coil.

Fair warning.

Cheers
