I only use my vamo to check resistance as my ohm meter is a pain to get consistent readings from plus I need to subtract the resistance of the leads - this is close enough unless you are trying to build subohm coils for a mech and trying to get as close as you can to your batteries max amp drain (which I do NOT recommend)

but for building 1.5 - 3.0 ohm coils it is fine

Hello
Im new to building my own coils, I do not have a volt/ohm meter.
But I do have a Vamo VW which as most of you probably know can read the ohm of the atomizer screwed on.
Is this an accurate way of checking ohm's on my own built coils and whatnot ?

Thanks!

I use my eVic for this (I don't have a Vamo ... yet!). The reality is that the ohm meter in the mod is the way the power will be determined anyway. It may not be precise, but it will be close enough for the mod. If I build a coil and my eVic sees it as a 2.2 ohm coil, then the eVic will deliver power to it as a 2.2 ohm coil, regardless of whether it is 2.16 or 2.23. For my vaping needs, this is close enough. If I were doing sub-ohm on a mech mod, then I would definitely want something more exact, but if I am building coils for any of my regulated mods, then the ohm meter on the eVic (or VTR or Legend or VV or ... etc.) is sufficient for the job.

HTH, but as always ... YMMV!
