The issue that happens when you have high wattage (too much volting for certain ohms resistance) is that you will end burning the atomizer, or as some said to me, melt the resistance, but afaik kanthal have a pretty high melt point.
When you "undervolt" for a given resistance you end with low wattage, thus it will not produce much of vapor. As a newbie, i tried both, fried some attys, and on low wattage you end without much vapor.
People seem to like high wattage; i usually stick around 5-6 watts. I think it gives me decent vaping and th without too much vapor. Also running on less volts runs less battery, and i like colder vapors.
