I have been having this problem for a while, but I'm going to ask now because I am thinking that I may be doing something wrong. The problem I have is that my ohms are changing after I add liquid. I am using kayfun (clones) wrapping microcoils with 26 gauge kanthal wire, around 12 loops. I wrapped a coil on the kayfun and use a Vamo V2 to check resistance. It came out at 1.5 ohm on the vamo, with just the coils on it. I think "great" I can fire this on a regulated mod because it is above 1.2 ohm. I add juice. The resistance drops to 0.6 ohm. Now am I doing something wrong or not reading correctly, or does adding liquid change the resistance of the atomizer? Thanks.

Check it for possible loose wires, maybe even verify it on a resistance meter. I've seen this happen before, tightened up my screws and it seemed to help stabilize the Ohms. Also make sure you're not forcing your wicking material through the coil, that can cause some issues too. The biggest thing I found was grounding / shorting. Sometimes you think you have it just right, and it makes contact with another metal surface - that can reduce your resistance big time, and possibly short your device / battery.

I assume you're wrapping the coils, then installing your wick. If so, you may be shorting the coil on the deck/chimney unintentionally. I build my kfl with 25ga, 8 wraps around a 1.5mm Allen and I'm getting .5-.6 ohms. Try checking the resistance at every step during the build, that might give you some insight about when the resistance change is occurring.
