Ohms seems to change for no reason? ?

I'm running an evic with a AGA T2, 32ga k wire, 4/5 wraps (I think) it's like 1.7 ohms... ss mesh wick....but sometimes my evic seems to read different ohms? I've seen it go as high as 3 ohms? Same coil....

I've seen this on my pro tank rebuilt coils also....they usually drop ohms after adding liquid.

Is this normal?

It usually means you have a loose connection, check the nut on the positive post. Other possibility is you have a short between the coil and the mesh wick.

With the AGA-T2, it is probably the positive terminal coming loose. If it is not, it could be a short.

I concur with the above. This happens quite a bit with my AGA-T2's and I just give the positive post capture nut a wee twist and the ohms stabilize back to where they should be. Usually.

Ah....ok. looks like I need to get a spring and washer and made it like an RSST.
