Oh boy... the 2000mah means nothing in the equation so forget about that, the 10 amp rating could be continuous or peak and you need to know.
I'm glad your asking, also worried because I expect the reason for the question is that you plan to build sub-ohm coils and haven't researched ohm's law. Download one of the many calculators available from this site or online, they are really easy to use. You just need to know what amperage your battery or unit is delivering and then you can determine what is safe for the battery you are using.
Here is an online verision, I have downloaded others to my smartphones as well. Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator
Please watch a few vids on youtube and read up a little on ohms law, battery safety, etc. before you get into RDAs. It's fun stuff to learn and will make the experience much more enjoyable and safe!
Good deal, sounds like you know what to look for and pay attention to.
With a 1.5ohm coil and a fresh battery in a mech you will only be pulling 2.8 amps so you'll be more then fine. Just make sure you don't run that batter down too low before you recharge it but sounds like you understand battery safety in those regards.
I appreciate it. I have been reading up on it and def am gonna be safe. I'm gonna be picking up some 30 amp batteries soon, just waiting for them but in the mean time I have only 10 amp. I just got my first mech mod and I built a 1.5ohm coil so I know that's plenty safe enough. I am going to get into sub ohm but I don't care anything about going crazy low. About .6 is as low as I'll go and that's well with in a 30 amp limitation. I've been wrapping my own coils for a while now and have a regulated device. I do wanna be safe lol don't wanna be the guy that makes the news for blowing his face off hehe
Yup, I run mechs with RDAs on 10am Panasonic 18650s all the time. I switch over to either Sony VTC 4s or eFest purple high amp batteries if I want to run something like a .5ohm build.
If you drain your batteries too far you can damage them for further recharging, lifespan, or even run away which you absolutely don't want. You'll notice a significant drop off in performance, vapor production, etc. and you'll know it is time to change but you are corret it is better to be safe than sorry.
I routinely run 1.2 ohm coils on a 10 AMP AW IMR 18650. I just make sure to change out the battery when it gets down to 3.5-3.7 volts.

4.2/1.5 = 2.8 amps
that's 28% of the 10 amps.
To be plenty safe, I'd aim for more like 10%. yeah I'm kinda ultaconservative.
Using the 28% however, that's 8.4 amps on the 30 amp battery.
4.2/8.4 = 0.5 ohm.
The 10% figure works out to be 1.4 ohm.
