Hi.I'm a newbee,.......I would like to know whats the diff.,between diff. ohms.???I just bought a mini III,....And don't know what size ohms. I should get????........Whats better,...and why???........If some one could help school me,....please.....Thanks.....

Something around 2.2 is a good all purpose rated coil.

Mainly consider your input voltage and the amperage drain of the battery you are going to be using. Use with very caution because the lower the ohms the better the vapor, but the hotter it gets. I typically get a better taste on lower ohm setups, but you have to have a mod(battery) setup for certain ohm ratings. a typical premade coil will range from 1.6ohm to 2.6ohms usually. using those you can use just about any battery, (ego, mech mod, VV/VW mod)

edit: Sorry didnt realize how advanced what i just said sounded. Go with the above post. anywhere from 1.8-2.2 would be a good start. You may want to read into ohms law and watts law to understand a little more around the topic.

Higher Ohm coils will take longer to fire at lower voltages. I tend to like to vape at sub ohms (less than 1 ohm). As to which is better, well...that is all up to you. Its all about what you like. It has been my experience that higher ohms fire slower and give you a cooler vape, where lower ohms fire fast, giving you a warmer vape. If you are using a variable voltage mod, then you will not be able to vape sub ohm coils. Most of the VV mods I know of have a minimum resistance of 1.2~1.3 ohms. If you are going to buy tanks with replaceable coils, then I would go with the lower resistance option for the coils, but that's just my preference. Perhaps buy a couple of each resistance coils available for the tank you would like to use, and see which you like best.

There is a likelihood that lower ohms will heat up faster or make more heat, but we haven't specified the gauge of heating wire being used, so we don't know these things for sure.

We may need to know ohms for battery function, and safety. Batteries for vaping, like eGos, have short circuit protection in them, to cut them off when the load (ohms) gets too low. If that happens, you can't vape at all. In some cases, eGos will shut off as high as anything under 2 ohms, but not often. Most often, they'll drive anything in the 1.6 ohm or more range. For those who use mech, or their own mechanical battery boxes with their own batteries, they really have to know what the ohms are. What you need to know is how low your battery will go on ohms.

The increased Mah will give you longer vape time but does not increase the output. It sounds like you have a fixed voltage device and if you bought it in the states there is a very good chance you are firing off around 3.5V so a coil in the range of 2.0-2.4 will give you a satisfactory vape. Don't worry about some of the other information given here. As you go along you will start to pick things up, but for now just get a few (five at the most for now) atty.'s somewhere around 2.2. An atty. should last you a couple of weeks with regular cleaning. Google dry-firing a MPT to learn how to properly maintain your atty.
