Oil Based Flavor

TPA is "The Perfumer's Apprentice". My sample mix bottle has a yellow oil ring at the top of the juice. It goes away for awhile when I shake it but always comes back after it sits a short time and I added a few more drops of 80 proof Vodka.

I got the Everclear 75.5%/151, it works wonders (even takes the paint off of the attys if rubbed lightly fresh out of a soak).

I should try some vodka, but I do not know if I am still able to get the Blue Label Smirnoff here in CA anymore. I haven't been able to find the higher octane Everclear here locally, and do not want to chance the seizure if I buy it from these Nets.

Perfumers Apprentice Tangerine is oil based. Maybe that is the problem with separation?

I use oils all of the time. I use very little - generally about one drop for every 2 ml. I add the same amount of high proof vodka to help it emulsify. I haven't had any problem with separation. Oh.. I also use a 70/30 PG/VG blend.
