That's definitely a question for your next trip to the doctor's office. The ideal answer would come from a pulmonologist.

I know there are fry cooks that stand over grease all day long without masks to prevent them from inhaling oil into their lungs, and I've never heard of any dangers of it. Sometimes people posting get an idea in their heads, so post that it is or is not the way to do things. Others read their posts and believe them, and the belief continues even if its unfounded.

One of the ECF managers, Rolygate, has been vaping DIY Peppermint Oil for a lonnnng time and so far hasn't had any problems with it. YMMV.

Since I'm not a doctor or a health sciences professional, I can't answer your question truthfully. We do have a member who is a biologist. I'll try to get an answer from her for you - it may take a day or two, but I'll get back to you, okay?

Yes, I used peppermint oil for a long time, maybe 9 months or longer. Eventually I got tired of the taste, as you do.

It never affected my atties or my lungs, and I have super-sensitive lungs that can't take more than about 5 cigarettes a day. It seems to me that the actual quantity of oil inhaled during vaping would be microscopically small, maybe about the same as occurs with aromatherapy oils, and to the best of my knowledge no one ever said that was a bad thing.

But like everything, it's the quantity, the dose, that is the critical factor. Inhale several ml of any oil daily and it might have some sort of unwanted effect. For vaping, as an added flavor, we're only talking about 0.2ml per day, maybe less. Peppermint is very strong, so hardly any is needed - 1 drop per 20 of base liquid is generally enough, and too much in some mixes.
