I was a 2+ pack a day just over two months ago, and started on 24mg - after a short while that was too much, but it certainly got me over the "oh crap, I need a smoke" moments (of which we mostly all have, and many of, in the early stages)

There's a fair bit more in cigarette smoke that I think I was addicted to on top of nicotine though, so even ramping up to high levels of nicotine, you may still feel some cravings..

No harm in going up a notch to 24, see if it helps :)

I totally agree that there is much more in cigs that could be our addiction problems too!! I also wonder IF the nicotine level will be different in the e-Go types and all the others than these cigalikes?? Meaning maybe stronger?? You said it well shaunie..LOL Oh crap... I need a cigarette moment!! Thankfully they are getting a little easier, but I feel like I will experience those feelings for a long time. That will be my curse that I can live with!! It's like...:p Take that!!!! U ol' cig!!

My advice is just to stick with it, the cold sweats and cravings will pass after a week or so.

My e-cig is never more than 10cm from my hand though after 2 months, it's a "process" (hate that word, but it fits...)

I haven't had cold sweats... TG!! I am cold all the time anyway!! Well.... I don't know cm's... since we go by inches here in the states... but I bet we could compare and we'd be twins!! And I seem to have it attached to my hand more than not!!

Some have said that the better the "device" the more efficient they are at delivering the nicotine to the blood stream, so if you move from a cig-like to an ego, you may want to pick up a bottle of 18mg and see how it works out. I noticed a huge difference between an E-Lite cigalike to an ego setup (mostly in vapor production and taste, but I did notice a "hit" from the juice)

I know people that have quit on the E-Lites alone and don't like the Ego setup, so it's not a set progression. Most people would recommend a Ego setup next though, purely from a financial angle (e-liquid in the UK is far cheaper than buying disposable cartridges for the cig-like brands)

Fun thing with vaping is your choice is almost endless :)

I do have some 18mg e-liquids coming, and not a one... vape shops near me!! I'd have to drive an hour to get to one near me, so I imagine I'll be internet buying for the most part. I feel like I can say I have quit cigs by using the cigalikes too. I read it somewhere on here that whatever you can quit cigs on IS the right one for you!! I totally agree, but now..lol on to bigger and better things

Welcome to the forum ! I'm still new to the forum too.

We ( hubby and I both) quit using the ego...and we are still using them. We prefer the ego CC and all the other ego parts are pretty much interchangeable. After 40+ years of smoking, having back ups for the tool which helped us quit is just plain insurance!

Congrats on your quit....isn't it wonderful !

I honestly believe whatever works is the best, but then there are the ranks of "shinier" - "even more shinier" and "I just WANT that"

Ultimately, it's a means to an end, not smoking - so whatever works (erm) works.

Nothing wrong with replacing a deadly habit with a healthy collecting habit in my book :D

Thanks Pebbs, and congrats to you and DH as well!! Oh my... it's like I now see from different eyes than I have for years!! I hear you on the backups being just plain insurance, but I am also a sentimentalist. I will have all my "good" memories of whatever helped me quit smoking, and I probably won't be able to get rid of anything. I also need to join a plain ol' addict group for everything thread..LOL

What most people find is the stuff you no longer use gets "donated" to interested smokers (at least in my case, and a few others!) It's like donating freedom, and feels DAMN good when they say "blimey, this stuff works!" :D

Of course, keeping them is cool. My first Ego-T will be framed at some point. With a caption "lifesaver" (star wars pun) but no seriously, it will happen, she's resisting but I'll get there! :p

Yea were on the same page. Only difference is I don't remember much of it. LOL I must have had a blast!! I still retain the long hair (whats left of it).Looks like I got a slice of bologna on the back of my head. I guess that's why my friends call me hippy.
