I believe those have a TPS in them that's really easy to adjust. Loosen a screw, move the body of the TPS, tighten the screw, done. Of course if it is a dirty throttle body, if you ever get it cleaned, it'll be running too high. Sorry I couldn't add more Tina, but it's got more than 2 wheels & it isn't a Subi.

I understood none of that. ;). I told him that I want to trade it and he rolled his eyes and said "whatever you want to do". I despise taking it to the dealership. The service riders, the loaner car, it's the whole thing. I knew it was too low.

TPS is a throttle position sensor. It's a little doohickey under the hood. There's a screw that keeps it from moving. If you loosen the screw, you can turn it. With the engine idling, if you turn it one way the RPM's go up, the other way, they go down. You just start the vehicle, adjust the sensor until the RPM's are correct & tighten the screw down so it can't move anymore. You'd just have to know what it looks like to do it, but it's 2 minute fix. Not all vehicles use them, but I'm 90% sure the Escalade does.

The first thing I'll say, is I HATE car payments. The second thing I'll say is, my life is too hectic, and my time is worth too much to mess around with car problems anymore... My wife and I pretty much budget, and know that we will always have car payments. Warranties are our friends. With that said, I bought a truck in 2011, not even a month old the transmission went out, took a month but they "fixed it". First day back, the electrical control module went out- stranding me with my kids in the truck that wouldn't run in 20* weather. Got it back, and almost a year to the day of buying it, transmission went out again. Had it towed to garage, and next morning went to get the "loaner" car. That evening after work I went down and said "trade it in". I'm paying for a $40k truck to sit in the garage while driving around a $20k compact car is BS, and having a vehicle that is unreliable, when I use it to transport my kids is unacceptable.

I know it sounds like an un-guy-like thing to say is, if it were me, I would agree with the "trade it in" thought.

I hate car payments too. We just buy them outright. In fact, I hate payments of any kind. And I completely agree on the reliable part. When it starts quitting on the interstate or anywhere else for that matter. I'm done. I don't know what I'll get next but it won't be another 2014 Escalade. They can keep it. I like big trucks/suv's and don't like cars. I'm thinking a Land Cruiser. I like that one. Should have bought it in the first place. I was debating. Chose the wrong one.

Anything with Toy in the name would be your best bet in my opinion.
