I'm seeing conflicting information on which coils are compatible.

I have a mini protank 2, and was told that the kanger t3s coils are the same for the protank 2. Upon visual inspection they look nearly identical. BUT when I tried to put the t3s coil in the protank 2, it would not screw down completely and I got bad dry burns.

I also read that the pro tank 2 and evod coils are interchangeable, but aren't the evod coils the same as the coils for kanger t3s? If so, based on my test then the evod coils would not work on the protank 2 minis.

So if you have direct experience with any of these products please confirm the following:

1. Are protank 2 mini and kanger t3s coils the same?
2. Are the evod and kanger t3s coils the same?
3. Are they all different coils?

Thank you!

Pt2 and t3s coils are slightly different. Mostly in the diameter of the base, the part that looks like a flat washer (but isn't). Thinner on the T3S. I have used T3S coils in PT, and PT2 successfully. But not the other way around (i.e. PT head in T3S.)

PT, PT2 and Evod heads are all the same. Wider "washer"like base, and won't work in the T3S series.

If your head fit and made a connection to vape, and you got a dry burn/hit, but no leaks, then something else is going on. Dry hit is usually from poor wicking action, or drawing faster than it can wick. That you got heat suggests you did indeed have an electrical connection.
