Doesn't everyone know gender was a hetero-normative construct designed by the state to help regulate economic and social order from an already-prescribed social order!?

Told ya the government's involvement in anything is sure to mess, in whatever they are involved, it up......

Female here, generally ignore the trolls and I be all right. Actually less trolls here then most so it is all good. Got most my vaping info from a female too, so it has never felt gender specific to me. I work in IT so I am often looking around wondering where the females are. But then I think most of my co-workers wonder that too.

The thought of gender rarely crosses my mind here, I see us as Vapers.

The thought of gender always crosses my mind, but I am a dirty old man after all.

Well, according to the CDC quite a few more men smoke than women.

21.6% of adult men
16.5% of adult women

Since it seems that most people take up vaping due to analog issues, it would follow statistically that more men are vapers and therefore more men than women would belong to the number one vaping forum on the web.

Gosh is i smart.

+1 ... only see vapers ... hell you could be a guy pretending to be a girl ...

Ha. But I Think it goes a girl pretending to be a guy who pretends to be a girl? It is from some movie plot. :)

I personaly like the ratio of men to women here. My guitar site is mostly men and my pet sites are mostly female.

Vape on all you fine people.

It is hard to tell, on forums like these. I just go with theys, them, and so forth unless I know (though I do occasionally say dude or man as a general term not realizing it heh) for sure. I don't really think about it too much on the forums any way, it's vaping after all it doesn't really matter does it?

Though I can understand getting a bit curious if you keep getting called the wrong gender. Especially if you are working in a male dominated profession (even if that's only the assumption). Might be nice to NOT come home to it heh.

You will be in good company here though. Explore a bit and you will find plenty of good people here.

Enjoy the ECF :D.

As far as this forum, I don't notice or care about the sex of the poster. I will say that as a 43 year old male, my first exposure to ecigs was from my 69 year old mother! My only experience at a B&M consisted of a sales staff of one woman in her 50's or 60's, one woman in her 20's and one guy in his 20's. So far, my contact with physical vapers is overwhelmingly female!

I too kinda enjoy the man/woman ratio here at ECF. I'm 45 and female. I'm an engineering student...all guys. Peruse a lot of technical forums...all guys. One of my hobbies is video games....all YOUNG guys. I work in manufacturing quality assurance...again, all guys. Lol Ive long since gotten used to being 'one of the guys', so its nice to actually have some 'fellow' females around :toast:

I don't think much about the gender of posters either. I've been around on forums of one kind of another for years. One sure way to rack up an active thread and gets lots of attention on a predominately male forum is to make a sockpuppet and pick a visually attractive female avatar.

Meh, it happens.

And female posters may use an attractive feminine avatar that may or may not be their own photo.

The point is you just never know what you are talking to on an anonymous public forum. That doesn't bother me at all.

Wowzers!!!
This thread started out with the potential for some serious negativity... I'm proud of all you ECF'ers, bringing the good vibes back to the thread.
As for me... I suppose most people try to gain clues from avatars, signatures, etc... Mine would be misleading possibly. I am a male human. This is fun, though... we should turn this in to a "Guess if the poster is male, or female" contest!

In all seriousness, though, I don't give a hoot is you're male, female, robot, or zombie... You're all human. In my book that means I give you respect until you prove yourself unworthy of it. That's just the way I operate!
