Ok, So i saw this band last night........

...and did they rock !! I went on the recommedation of a friend as ive never heard of this group. ' The Dave Matthews Band' did a one off gig in Wolverhampton Civic last night after performing with Bruce Springstien at Hyde Park. I never heard of them but apparently they are big in the States,,have you guys heard of them? I cannot believe they are unknown over here. These guys love to play their instruments and are some of the best musicians i have seen in a long time and Dave is just so passionate when singing, phernomanal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Straight up !! But why would we ? He has never played here before, his music is never given air play,,,,but i cannot understand why he has chosen to stay away from the UK. It has gotta be one of the best gigs ive been to in the last few years !

yeah they had a huge radio hit in the U.S. in 94



From looking at their past tours, it looks like they've only toured Europe in 95, 96, 98, 07 and I guess 09 since you just saw them.

my exboyfriend played keyboards on dave matthews solo cd ''some devil'', check that out too ...i'm not really a big fan, but he's pretty friggin hugely famous in the US, i'm just surprised that someone that famous here is an unknown in the UK---- i mean, he's REALLY REALLY famous here, not obscure hipster famous....i'm a musician, so maybe i pay way more attention than most people, but that still surprises me---it would make sense to me if you lived in taiwan or iraq or something, but the UK charts and the US charts are usually up to speed with each other.......anywhoooo....enjoy your new discovery!

You picked a great time to get to know the Dave Matthews Band. Their latest CD, Big Whiskey and the Gru Grux King has to be one of the best they've ever done. I try to go see them every time they come through Phoenix and haven't been disappointed yet.

Coulnt tell you the play list to be honest, coulndt remeber. They managed to drag some of them out for 10 - 15 mins though, was if they were improvising. They did play a couple of tracks off the new album, dedicated to to band member LeRoi who past away last year apparently, quite sad.
