Ok so my first run in with the local vapor shop.

Ok, so I'm getting snubbed for my "rightful place" comment. Maybe it came out wrong, I would first like to point out that I AM a woman, now one person who commented I know for a fact knows this tidbit, having replied to my first ever thread on here a few days back, but I recently suffered from a severe brain stem stroke, yes it means sometimes, almost always actually, have a very hard time trying to say EXACTLY what my brain is trying to, be verbal words or typed words. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Was not my purpose, meaning, intent, whatever! I simply was saying that I personally while reading the OP, thought that of course this story was embellished, and was made to make people giggle a little. Maybe my fried stroke brain didn't fully process how it was being said, maybe he was serious. I just know, being a noob, admittitedly, that just recently I was treated as a lesser in a vape store, by someone who obv didn't know much more than I did, and personally insulted me on top of it. So maybe "put in her place" was the wrong term? Idk! No excuses, but truthfully, my brain doesn't process everything normally now, and for that I'm sorry! He had stated she was saying it in a snobby tone, well when someone speaks to me like that, I probably don't react well either, as a matter of fact I wanted to wrap my walker around the guys throat who snobbed me last wk! I also stated if I remember correctly, that I was only upset because I thought the story was written to be funny and stretched, and that I had had nothing but positive experiences of support here, and felt the guy was being tarred and feathered. It shocked me is all.

I'm very sorry, for any offense. And please, no one should feel sorry for me! As the person above so says they do! I honestly believe it's a simple misunderstanding of either how I perceived? The OP, or that my fingers couldn't properly state what my brain wanted to. So, please stop tarring and feathering me now! I joined this forum to get and give support! And through this thread I'm learning that maybe there is a lot less of it than I thought originally.

I hope this time I was better able to put my thoughts to words without offense? Jeez, this forum browse has caused me to chain smoke! And I had done so well today. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day!

Sorry, I would like to clarify, that the person "who felt sorry for me" I said was above me, but I was incorrect, it was back a few pages. Just thought I should clarify so I wasn't burned at the stake or anything for misstating something, yet again! I officially stand corrected folks!

All is well. Welcome and I hope you are recovering well -Dave

Every time i walk into a local vapor shop my ProVari seems to get politely bashed on. By these remarks:

- your PV is outdated, do you know about the innokin 134,TVR, MVP?
- what about a DNA device?
- where did you get that cone? I know it's not a hippo!
- have you tried a device that takes other kinds of batteries besides AW IMR's?

And then once they mention "I see you have a kayfun on your provari, do you know about sub ohm?" And thats when I pull out my M16 and unload my .3 OHMZ on an IGO-W with a 1600mah 30 amp 18650. "I think I got the best of both worlds here, I just wanna pick up some kanthal."

See, that's the flipside of the crap sammich I was talking about earlier. We need to quit bashing each other about whatever device or ohms or whatever.

Of course, the good news is by doing this we'll be so much easier to regulate/ban into non-existence. Let's just keep worrying about who's vaping what - that's what's important right? Maybe we should just assume that people have what they have because it's what they like and quit trying to force others to vape the "right" thing at the "right" ohms with the "right" juice. I just got started on mechs and DIY all by my widdle self! No one had to talk down to me or insult my current setup to get me going in that direction. Amazing huh?

Sorry for the rant, this crap just gets old...

I understand, which was why I said I hoped that's not what you meant with that statement. I just happen to be very sensitive about such phrases as "put her back in her rightful place" as I've lived that life before & just have no tolerance for that particular phrase.

Don't be discouraged about the chain smoking. Just keep at vaping & the more you do it the more you will find to like about it so you'll chose it more than a cigarette. No worries. As you said, tomorrow IS a new day. :)

I'm sorry that you ever had to be in a horrific life situation like that, I appreciate that you assumed I meant no harm. Because my brain issues are new, I forget that sometimes I need to preexplain my situation, so people can better understand that I'm usually not saying what I'm really trying to. And it didn't help that I had just had a horrible experience just prior at my own vape shop. Thank you for taking the time to read my reply and understand.

And today, only 6 analogs! My first again not til afternoon. So I did good today. That number might have been less had my battery not gone dead. Can't wait til all my new toys get here, then I will have a few backups, and this prob won't happen again!

My Mrs has the simplest set up you can get with VV/VW. She loves it. Took her from a pack and a half a day to 3 analogs today. I, on the other hand, like toys, thinking of going sub ohm, and use a 24 mg nic to get me through the day, and I'm going on 4 days analog free. Different strokes for different folks! That's the great part of this, we an do what we like!

They are not hard to put on, and if you screw up, you can pull it off at least once to fix it. More than that, and the adhesive starts going away. Just put it on slowly, make sure everything is lined up and make sure you're pushing out any air bubbles that try to form.

If you do get air bubbles, you can poke the edge of the air bubble with a pin and press everything down flat.

That's one of the reasons I'm not sorry about the starter kit I got when I first quit (although it was expensive, had poorly constructed knock off batteries & was generally a bad tank system lol). It had 2 batteries so when one was charging I could use the other. Having back ups is a must. I use Reos now but I still have ego twists as my back ups for the simple fact that you can never be sure what thing is going to fail. It might be one of your mods, which would mean you still have the other until the one is fixed. It might be the batteries which, for me, means I would have to use the other size battery mod until I get new ones. But it also might be the battery charger, which means that until a new charger arrives no battery will work except the twists. *makes not to self that I need to find a solar charger* Got my bases covered. :)
