Ok, so I am a newbie and will receive my V4L today. I am not sure what the atty is. I have cartomizers and manual batteries. Do I need to blow anything out of the cartomizers? I saw a U Tube video that said I can open and start vaping immediately. Is this accurate?

Hi, I'm new, just wanted to say thank you for the great info in this post. I should receive my first 510 tomorrow and ordered some blank carts and some flavors to try in addition to the flavored carts it comes with. I was wondering how to refill/reuse the carts, and where exactly one drips if one is using that method.

I'll be saving lots of the info here for future reference. Thanks again!

Congrats Cloudbank- For refilling your carts just slowly drip e0liquid onto the filler material in the cart. You can help the material to absorb the e-liquid by using a toothpick instead between the filler and cartridge and move the toothpick back and forth and continue to drip e-liquid until the filler is glossy on top. You don't want the liquid to pool on top of the filler though.
You can also remove the filler with tweezers and rinse it under good hot water and place it in a paper towel and pat till dry. Put 10 drops of liquid in your empty cart and using the tweezers replace the filler slowly. Once the filler is in add more e-liquid as described above. If there are any stray fibers sticking out of the top of your cart, trim them off with scissors.
Don't forget to blow out your atomizer before using for the first time, then put 2-3 drops of your e-liquid directly into the atomizer and put on a cart. Do not inhale the first couple of puffs-they might have a taste of primer. No big deal if you do-it just doesn't taste right.

If by chance you do over fill the cart, you will hear a gurgling sound when you take a hit. To recover, remove the cart then remove the atty. place a napkin on the bottom of the atty(510 threads end) and blow through the top of the atty to remove the flooded juice.

The cart filler should look slushy (no puddles) when you top off / refill the cart. If it puddles take a napkin and dob to remove the puddle.

So I got my 510 disposable today, yay! Quick question: if I put a few drops of juice on the atty (2-3 as suggested above) and then want to change flavors, do I wait until I've used up what's on the atty or..? How do I switch flavors after dropping on the atomizer?

Just vape until the flavor starts to diminish and the amount of vapor is less. At that point you can drip some of the next flavor. Just for the sake of saying-Do not drip using automatic batteries. I have never used a disposable and am not sure of how they are made for dripping. The liquid can get into the battery of an automatic and render it DEAD.

Thanks for the info! I did try this with 2-3 drops and the battery still works, but since I wasn't sure how to proceed, I went back to using the carts. Works fine so far!

my 510 arrived today (yeah me)... now what? LOL! I have been reading and reading these boards, watching utube videos and well, now that its here I am lost.

1. Can I leave my extra battery charging all night so its good to go in the morning?

2. When you say "dripping" you are dripping the juice directly on the atty, in the screw hole? 3 or 4 drops? Then put on an empty cart and puff away?

3. I have a few pre-filled carts, how long can I expect to vape on a prefilled cart before it needs to be replaced, how will I know if the battery needs to be recharged or if the cart needs replacing?

1. The batteries should be charged when you get them, but yes you can leave it on the charger. Usually it takes me 2 hours tops to charge my battery. (you might want to invest in a personal charging case, I throw mine in my purse and switch my batteries and it's good for 4 battery charges)

2. Yes dripping is directly on the atty. If it's a brand new atty it might need extra liquid to moisten it, but usually I do 3 drops so I don't flood the atty. And yes put on the empty cart and puff away. You can buy a drip tip too for about $3 which takes out the hassle of taking off the cart everytime you drip.

3. It all depends on how much your vaping, you should see a decrease in vapor and taste a slightly burnt taste. The battery LED will flas about fifteen times and then turn off when it's dead.
