Hello there. I've been using a V2 standard pack that my wife bought me and re-filling for the last couple weeks. Works pretty well, but after reading quite a bit on the forum, it seems there are way better options.

I like the "cigerette" type feel of the V2, but would prefer something with a better battery, and longer life from the cartomizer.

What would you recommend?

Thanks!

I am certainly not an expert at all, but when I transitioned from the ciggie look alikes I went with an ego. You could try an ego twist so you can check out better battery life along with variable voltage.

Also, if it is V2cigs you are using, make sure you order some 510 cartos. I have been using Boge but they are hit and miss lately so I wou,d recommend Smoktech 510 cartos. 1.7 ohm works great, but if you wanna crank up new volts on the twist I would go with a 2.5ohm instead. Or get a box of each and see what works best for you.

Good luck! :)

I have 4 twists, they're great. But honestly, an ego battery works pretty damn good for basic attachments.. you could use cartos with a cheap ego & you'll get nice performance. That way you're only losing $15 or so if you end up not liking the style of it. Otherwise just use ur cig-like batteries with low resistance cartos <2.0ohms

Just my :2c: but I started with an RN4081 (NJoy), then purchased a KR808-1D (I also vaped some 401's and 402's and a few other numbers in between) and then somewhere in the midst of all the re-charging mania madness quickly upgraded to a small battery 510 system, then to an eGO, then an eGo-T and then finally, after two years and a few thousand dollars later took a crazy chance on the GO-GO.... (Whew!).... where I'll most likely remain forever unless someone comes up with something at least 10 times more reliable for the money  I didn't think I'd like the GO-GO at first because I don't care for Cartos, but the GO-GO Carts were unlike any other Cartos I'd previously tried, my experience with the GO-Carts was 'close' to that of dripping on a GOOD 510 atty (Which is bliss!). About a month ago I purchased the new clear GO-Tanks and the vaping experience is just like dripping on a 510 atty, so I recommend NOT jumping through all of the hoops I jumped through to find my vaping Nirvana and just head on over to CigEasy and get a GO-GO starter Kit and be sure to also order a box (or two or three) of the GO-Tanks with some (24mg) Easy E-Liquid in your favorite flav. I highly recommend their Tobacco flavors and Peach. I recommend you stick to 24mg strength nic juices so you don't go back on the Analogs. With the GO-GO you can vape all day before having to recharge the Battery and the GO-Tanks hold 2ml of nic juice and for me that lasts around 2 days. My experience with every other eCig system I used was too much fiddlin' and not enuf vapin'.... while the GO-GO is not perfect (and I have yet to find one eCig that is).. it's the closest I've come to perfection so far..... and this is my recommendation for what it's worth... IMHO. Good luck in your search.... hope you find your 'sweet spot' with one of them. :vapor:

I cut the chase . Tried the ego type setup from volcano. Then bit the bullet and picked up a provari mini and an iHybrid. Shortly after I picked up a Z-atty-pro for the provari. Mind you I've been vaping about a month and a half. I didn't go completely smoke free till my provari vivi nova combo. Yes I spent a small fortune, however I will still break even at my three month mark of not smoking. Both devices are of high quality and are quite dependable. There is a learning curve to a genesis type atomizer. Buying cartomizers and vivi nova heads adds up pretty quickly. For under 100$ I pick up enough stainless steel mesh cloth and 32ga kanthal wire to last better than a year. My only expense now is 50-90$ a month for juice.

Thanks for all the info! I ended ordering a 510 Torch from Electro Vapors yesterday for an in between kit. Its a local vendor so it should be here pretty quick. The V2 kit I'm using now works ok, and it has kept me off the analogs for the most part, but I'm definitely ready for an upgrade.

From the above suggestions, its looking like an Ego Twist, or a Go-Go are my best options. I'd like to keep it as small as possible, so when I'm out at our property, doing redneck activities, I can just keep it in my pocket. Thats when I used to smoke the most, putzing around with a cig hanging out of my mouth.

Thanks again for all the advice. I'll for sure let you know which one I go with.
