Howdy again from ole salt&PePPeR.

As always I have a question.

Poking about today I came upon a tobacco Shoppe I had never seen before. As we are waiting for our Joye eGo-T to arrive I've been sourcing our Electronic-Nicotine via Square 82 Disposables.

Well I saw one of those NLA brand, Never Light Again, Basic Starter Kits on sale for $8.99. Made perfect sense since it came with two Cartos which should be equal to two Disposables. So I bought one.

Now the unit comes with a USB charger. My Cell Phone is similar but it has a USB cable instead, and it also came with a USB to Wall adaptor.
My question is, can I plug my NLA USB charger into the USB to Wall Adaptor for my Android Phone?

I would imagine that it is the same thing you would get from NLA since USB is an IEEE Standard. On the Android unit it says it outputs to 5V & 1A!

USB is a 5 volt standard. The amp rating is not standard. However, most chargers only need ... 450 or even as low as 150 mA.

Look on the charger (not the wall wart) for the INPUT: line. As long as the voltage matches and the wall wart OUTPUT says it is AS LEAST that much, it should be OK. The wall wart can output more mA without issue (charger will only draw what it needs).

The only caveat is if the wall wart has "smarts" built into it and it's expecting a smart device to be plugged into it (rare).

Note: this is for changing the power supply converter...the "wall wart"... A/C to USB adapter.

Always use the proper CHARGER that came with the e-cig. Some even have reversed polarity or other "smarts" or issues. Don't swap the chargers around as a general rule!

USB 3.0 is out on many high end computers, but is is still 5v. They upped the current limit to 750mA from 500 and made major data improvements. I've looked around and still I have no clue what the 6v USB is for. The big problem is, from what I can see in the pictures the 6v port is 100% compatable with type A 5v plugs.

The NLA Charger says 5V 120mA

Pretty much any USB port will handle 120 mA. Assuming it's not some special gadget expecting proprietary (intelligent data communicating) stuff.

P.S.
USB 3.0 is still 5 volts. More mA. Think it goes to 900/1500 mA (some are "charging ports"). Still too low for a dedicated "direct" 5v PT.. but chargers should be fine so should battery-powered PTs. That said... why tie up a computer USB port and risk a short or something...and blowing the port? Get a $5.00 A/C to USB adapter (2.0 amp or better suggested so you can use a 5v PT if you want one later).
