OK....What's missing?

Analog free since 3/26 and something is still missing. Anyone else still have a feeling that you are craving something?

I heard there was a additive put in cigs to addict the young, must be that, wonder what it is. I had smoked for nearly 48 years and have been doing really good except for this unexplained craving. Therefore I am vaping all the time when I only smoked about 12 cigs a day. I am overloaded on nicotine (more on that later) so am cutting the med.

I know it was real hard for me to give up the analogs for the first week. Some say and i personally believe to be true that regular cigarettes has some other addicting substance in them other than just nicotine. Don't kill yourself, If you have to smoke a analog do it but I personally would hang in there as your almost there.
Good luck!

I agree that there is something else in the analogs, that we are missing. When I first quit I used patches, and my e-cigs, but it was as if my body was craving something. I had enough nicotine using both, and it was still rough. I was a pack a day smoker for years and the last maybe 2 years I could not get enough analogs. I was smoking a pack and a half a day. The first 4 days I quit, I had 2 analogs a day one in the morning, and one at night and even though I had it in my hand and smoking it I was not satisfied. I have asked other smokers and everyone tells me the same thing that they now smoke more and are not as satisfied. Gee you think they knew and put something else in them?

Thanks for the encouragement, I need all I can get!

Yep, something else. Wonder if we can find out what it is.

Was just visiting my sis, got her mostly on vaping. Her MD says she has severe, chronic lung disease. Her MD and mine both approved the e cigs, WHOA HOO! So, I need all the info I can get to pass on to her. Also the mix for glycerine, anyone??

If nicotine consumption and vaping are not doing it, there must be other factors feeding your addiction to analogs. It is very possible that you have a high level of tolerance to nicotine. You might consider trying other smokeless tobaccos like snus, snuff, lozenges or dissovable tobacco in conjunction with e-cigs. Even if you had to burn a few bowls of pipe tobacco or a cigar each day, you would likely be better off than smoking analogs.

The commercial cigarette manufacturers treat the tobacco with ammonia which turns the nicotine into ' crack nicotine ' for one thing (Google it) also the eJuice manufacturers use Food Grade Nicotine which is slightly different chemically than natural nicotine.

I don’t believe it’s the nicotine, I do think it is one of the other 4000 ingredients in analogs that are as addictive as nicotine and we don’t know what it is. Of course no one is going to let us in on the secret. I love these e-cigs, but I still have rough times. And I am mad at the way I have been treated for smoking analogs. I guess it is my way of staying strong when I get the cravings.

Breakfastchef, LOL

Tried all that stuff and patches and gum; all too strong for me. Smoked light 100s and am just a small lady.

Harry, must be the ammonia. Knew I was getting a hit from something, hee, hee.

Seriously, what are they putting into their additives? It is very strong and has a grip on me from the top of my head to the bottm of my toes. (Think I'll write a song.) Where's my Peace and Calming oil?

Interesting! I smoked 20 cigs a day for 24 years or so, been vaping ONLY for 3 weeks (I did vape AND smoke for about 2 months)

Did you quit smoking the day you started vaping?

I kinda cut down slowly on my analog's... and I'm not doing too bad, not having huge cravings right now, I do get a craving or a thought once a day or so.
