Pulled the trigger on a Reo Grand. Only been vaping a few weeks now and already annoyed with the daily nuances with cartos/clearos and dropped one of my two vision spinners and screwed up the VV capability. As a tinkerer by nature(mech eng major) these Reos/RM2s seem like they have endless possibilities with coil/wick setups. All the while remaining very sleek and simplistic.

So I got a black wrinkle copper vein Grand as well as an RM2 w/ wick/wire. From the advice I here I threw in a repair kit as well as some extra bottles/tubes/buttons/posts for convenience/butterfinger situations.

Ordered 2x AW IMR 18650s 2000mah and the xtar II charger from RTDvapor to power this badboy.

Seems like a real friendly group around here and everyone is all about helping people get started on the Reo for a great BF rba.

Now the hard part, ......waiting...... I've heard both reosmods and rtdvapor have excellent shipping, I'm just crossing my fingers the batteries don't show up after the Reo :2cool:

I'm sure I'll have a thousand questions once it all arrives so expect to hear from me real soon!!

One more :toast: to you and your new REO, drick85. You've saved yourself SO much money and frustration finding REOs so early, and you're going to love it. And welcome to REOville, the warmest, most helpful, generous little community in ECF. With your background and fondness for tinkering, I'm not sure about those thousand questions;), but these folks know their RBAs (I'm one of the few who's brand new to them), and they'll help with any that do come up until your vape is sublime :vapor:!

Welcome, drick85! Becky's right....you're lucky (smart) to have found REOs so early in your vaping life. They are awesome, sturdy, reliable pvs. You won't regret it. And....you picked a great color combo. The waiting IS the hardest part. :) Here's hoping you get the batteries and the REO on the same day. :)

Lol, the OP and I are quite similar. I also pulled the trigger on a new grand and RM2 last night along with assorted goodies. I have a only been vaping for a couple of months myself and am also a mech engineering major. Similarities end there I bet...I'm one of the handful of female ME majors at my school :)

Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to it!

That's sweet. My wife was one of the few girls in architecture school too. It's rough coming up in mostly a mans field.

Keep hangin tough. Don't let it make ya into a bit ch the way it does to most women who make it thru. They seem to think that they have to act that way to be taken seriously.

My wife is the only sweet, non "I am woman hear me roar" girl architect I ever met.

Glad to have you about to vape like a Rockstar like the rest of us REOnauts :)

Batteries got here yesterday, just saw that the reo is in town getting dropped off today!

Grabbed a roll of cotton and got all my micro coil tools ready to roll. Im pretty confident ill have a coil up in no time but im a bit worried about dry burning while learning. I think im going to stash some extra cotton inside the reo. Anyone have any other last minute pro tips before i crack out on this bad boy for faaarrrrr too much time?

I'm excited for you!! It's hard to have the batteries waiting and no REO. Of course, it might be worse to have a REO right there in your hands....and no batteries! I'm not sure which would be worse. Ha. Tips: lower your nicotine level in your juice for a few days because you're going to vape yourself into a coma!!!

EDIT: Be sure someone is home to sign for it.....or you'll have to wait another day to go pick it up at the Post Office. It'll come signature required.

So it arrived today just before heading to work. Left front door open to indicate i was hope and the mail lady didnt even ring the bell, just tossed the box in the front hall with no signature... But after checking everything was in tact so good to go. This thing looks sweet! Its really hard to gauge the size from pictures but it fits my hand perfect. Got the extra button top and rotating on off with thumb is trouble free.

Didnt have time to have a go at making coils so i filled it up, popped in the battery and tried priming a new atomizer. Being a atomizer noob, i was getting a ton more throat hit and less flavor for some reason. I had to leave so i just swapped my old carto with my ADV and headed out.

Even with a well used carto i can tell the whole fresh squonked juice idea is producing more vapor and flavor. This is going to be the longest day ever until i can get home and get to work on the RM2!

Im an instant believer, cant wait to start tweeking microcoils until the wee hours of the morning.

Suggestion...make sure you drink a lot of water. It's important to stay hydrated while squonking. I had the worse case of cotton mouth and chapped lips when I started on this road.
