Old 555/ry4 vs New 555/ry4 review

Hi there.

I've been trying the new Bloog juices and i've noticed some diferences, such in flavour or looks.

The first thing to notice is the juice colour, the old ones are much darker(and have a lot more steeping in it).

This is kind of special to me since the old 555 and ry4 juices are simply my favorites amongst other brands or DIY juice.

First the 555.
Thought the colour would determine a very big diference in flavour but no, not such a big diference between the old and the new, but there is some that i find very importante, the honey taste, wich is gone. There is if any very few honey taste left and to me, it makes the juice that much dryish. Hope that with some weeks of steeping after being open and getting oxygen will help.

Second the Ry4
This one is tricky, since the old one was almost the driest juice i've ever tried with some caramel aftertaste to it but for me, with my taste, very few. More dry taste than caramel itself, with the right balance. The new one is somewhat diferent, not as dry, and i feel a lot more the caramel flavour. It's still a very very good ry4 but really, not the same. Just as in 555 i hope steeping will help.

Other aspect that influences this opinion might be the nicotine level, we all now that nicotine changes a flavour to a more bitter one, and juices with no nicotine can taste similar but not the same, the old ones are 16mg/ml but the new are 11mg/ml so that might have something to do with the diferences. Nevertheless it should be more sweet wich happens in ry4 but not as much in 555.

Overall they're still great juices but really, not the same, will post update when steeping gets to it.

How old exactly are those old ones? The 555 and RY4 flavors DID change .... But that was well over a Year ago I think. I guess they were hoping nobody would notice but, the change was huge. Those 2 were my favs also. Main reason I switched to BLOOG. That and their Batteries and cartos were the most advanced at the time. I no longer Vape any of BLOOGs flavors except menthol. I occasionally will get a bottle, Hoping for some of that old flavor ... but no. The new flavor is a Pale shadow of what It used to be. Very Sad. ​

I got Summer Breeze in the new bottle and all I could taste was mint, no watermelon. I haven't tried the new bloogberry but one of my customers said the new one was terrible. I am sitting on a lot of the new juices and would like to know what's going on. I asked Leaford about it but no response yet.

These new ones are the third change in flavour i've noticed. I've been buying Bloog juices since the start from the portuguese vendor 2smok, and the first ones of all are allready gone.

The second ones are the ones in the photo, about a year old, but since i don't use what i like the most in clearomizers and genesis(for me a very big waste of juice) only carto and driping, i still have some. These second ones allready got the "liquid fusion" change in the labels and for me, the 555 lost a bit of honey flavour in it. The ry4 stayed exactly dryish like i love. Many of my friends complained the ry4 was diferent but i didn't noticed that, only the 555 was less balanced with the honey flavour.

These new ones have yet another change to the flavour both the 555 or ry4.

Anyway i'll wait a few weeks and compare them again, i'll post here the all feedback i can share about them.

Hi Coiso!

The 555 and Ry4 were changed this last batch, because we were trying to get back to the original flavor. I gave our supplier samples from the original batch that we still had in the old 5ml size, and I thought that it was a match, but maybe I missed the mark. Sorry about that, I'll try again next order.

Thank you leaford, anyway i'm considering the steep time, looks like these 2 bottles just came as they were made, and the steep is very important. If i find the steep made them much better like the old ones i'll be the first to tell.

Some days have passed so i guess it's bloog time for me now, lets see.

Ok fresh news everybody, some days have passed and just tried the 555 again.

I CAN TASTE HONEY AGAIN, THERE'S HONEY HERE, I FEEL THE HONEY, C'MON HONEY COME TO ME BABY.

Update:

The ry4 got drier than it was, now i can taste a much much better juice than it was, still the 555 have a little bit honey taste now but i think you should add a little more of it so it becomes more like the old one.

Conclusion, be very carefull about the steep after opening the juice bottles, it changes a bit in the first lets say, 1 or 2 weeks. Both got a lot better but i think that the ry4 came a little bit closer to the old ones than the 555.
