Old lurker, 1st post, frustrated and venting.

It seems like 90% of the time I order hardware from a company something doesn't work.
Or 90% of the time hardware doesn't work after a week or so.
And after a week I'm lucky if I get another week out of whatever I buy.
I've spent SO much money and even gone back to analogs a couple times due to being SO frustrated with having to order hardware over and over and having to wait for shipments. I know ordering from China is sketchy and frustrating for dealers, one of my friends does this but only 808 and I'm way past that point now.
I've sent things back and everyone has been gracious so far (but let's see what happens with the DOA battery I just got that I really need)
I have a huge box full of parts. I should toss it all.

I love vaping, been doing it for most of 2 years other when I cave and buy real cigs. I am not proud of myself but what can you do.

Just wanted to vent. Anyone else get like this?
I just don't want to smoke cigarettes.
My latest experiment is the eGo tank. Atomizers are always the thing to piss me off the most.
Thanks for being here, without you guys I would know nothing. :)

What are you using?

I recommend manual batteries, if possible ones that are totally sealed on the threaded end so you can't kill them with juice leaks. And I recommend cartomizers because to heck with atomizers - they are sweet brand new and then they screw you one way or another. Cartomizers have limited lives - I can get 7-10 days use out of one by keep it damp with thin clear juice then I throw it out and start a nice fresh one and my ecig is like brand new.

I use atomizers only at home and only for testing new juices and vaping occasional ones with a drip tip on a sealed manual batetry. Weeks can go by without using an atomizer. And if one dies, no great loss.

I just got a reply about my eGo tank pass-through battery.. I didn't know I had to press the button 5 times in 2 seconds to turn it on! Saved, for now.
You know, come to think of it I LOVED my 808s when I first started out. I had that down to a science. I've been sticking with eGo when I'm not smoking real cigs, now the tank. I have a Boge Leo that died. I liked that one. Atomizers last me a week usually, maybe I'm a heavy user. I blow them out, let them "air out" overnight.
I'm just venting, thanks for the reply! I will keep keeping on, I don't want to die of lung malfunctions! :)

Wyatterp, I've been ordering from different companies. I don't want to name names but they are the more popular ones. Everyone has been awesome, no complaints there.
I'm curious to see what Johnson Creek comes out with in regards to hardware.

I go through times like the OP. Nothing seems to work right, you go from one thing to the other.

I was down to a couple batteries, the only cartos I had didn't work on one of my batteries, my DIY juice came out terrible.

Then the mail comes with new supplies and life is good again. You just have to hang in there.

Good to know thanks.

Wyetterp : Is that a Red X Fisherman Avatar? Didn't expect to see one of those here. Greetings from another NC fisherman

Greetings. Could be. All I know is that it was Blackbeard's jolly rodger. They use to hide there rum here in between sails. But, both fishing & the rum's good here! Cheers.

Second this. The only batteries I've had go bad was the one auto Ego battery I tried (happened real soon) and one Manual Ego (but that was after over 6 months of heavy use. probably just it's time.) Other than that all my other Ego batteries have been going strong for many many months. I think one is coming up on a year. Don't think I've ever had a bad carto either. I frequent litecig.com, cignot and puresmoker the most for my supplies.

Well, the latest atomizer I bought for the Ego-T died in less than a week, tried to fix and I'm back on analogs. I'm thinking of trying the new Ego-C but don't want to spend the money right now. Also thinking about going old school with a 808! haha. I could send it back and get a new one but I just don't have the patience right now. Thanks for listening :)

Just start using cartomizers. Much easier and much cheaper.

I get that, I find when I don't feel completely secure with my vaping exp, down to last working atty, juice is almost gone with all mail shipments delayed, it really puts a damped on my day. When you don't know where yLWoure next vape is gunna come from, or your reduced to sucking air with a burnt taste every 1 and 3 vapes, life is horrible. Just know that it is completely fixable. When u fix the vaping problem, life ALWAYS goes good again. If all problems in life were so easy to fix.

P.S Seems a shame that you live in Seattle and aren't getting a provari

I don't know about the Provari but after looking it's definitely way out of my budget. Maybe when biz is better I will try. Is Seattle a good place to have one of these? I'm not sure? heh. I was just looking at the Ego dual coil cartomizer, I might give that a shot. I have so many Ego batteries... I am eager for fresh eCig deliveries! American Spirits are almost $10 a pack :(

bridgetc...my suggestion is to do away with proprietary ecigs. Some folks just don't have much luck or are unsatisfied by the vapor/flavor/TH production. I suggest getting yourself a mod. I don't mean a high end pricey one either. A simple box mod just might do the trick for you. With the mod, whichever one that appeals to you, get a couple extra batteries (cheaper to replace than the kind you're using) and a charger with a box or 2 of Boge cartomizers. I suggest a 5V due to the higher production of everything. If you like the tube shaped ones, then I recommend a Maxi Roughstack V2. I say Maxi because the 18650 battery will run a lot longer then the 16340 that the regular mod takes, plus you can stack batteries for 6V, or use a 4.8V battery. For roughly, $40-60, your headaches and frustration would disappear.

madvapes.com - maxi roughstack v2

maximumvapors.com - 5V and also 3.7V box mods. Todd does very clean work on the internals. I have 2 of his 5V boxes since he opened his store and haven't had a lick of trouble with either. My neighbor also has one and loves it...no problems either. They take 2 x 14500 batteries.

You sound like me. I have no patience dealing with stuff that goes down so soon, is crap right off the bat or doesnt last like it should.

Vaping for many is going to be a long haul. Meaning, that they will probably vape the rest of their lives.

If I was you I would step up to the big mods that use normal rechargeable batteries like 18650's 18350's, et etc that are more readily available and that are not mail order specific.

If you find a local source you can have a good supply and not have to deal with returns thru the mail. Most of these type batts are for tactical flashlights and can be found locally.

You will also cut the amount of mail order goods you need to vape and will only have to deal with atties, cartos and juice.

You get a rebuildable atty system and you cut that mail order dependency even more.

DIY juice and you are now pretty much self sufficient.

Something to think about and you will have a much more adaptable mod too boot, esp if you go VV.

Funny. I just got a dud cartomizer tonight (Boge 510). Probably the first one that was a dud out of the last 100 I used.

As for the atty going bad, I don't know. I don't use them. I was only referring to the Ego batteries. I swear by them and I'm pretty hardcore about wanting reliability.
