Hey family,
.
I just came across these e cig mods that have a "pod system" which based on a YouTube video looks like a prebuilt atty surround by eliquid? How is this different than like a normal tank ? What is this pod system exactly - benefits and drawbacks ?

Any input would be great !

(I tried researching on YouTube but couldn't find clear answers to my questions. Thx)

The myJET Pods are just like a tank and good for stealth vaping. Not very cost effective for someone who consumes large quantities of e-Liquid though it tends to get costly. Not bad for someone starting out or as they say a Tootle Puffer. This opinion is based on actual usage by myself if it matters.

I personally think that the best thing about the pod systems is that they work well.

So if you've dreamed of something small...
Or something good for out and about...
Or something with less fiddle-factor...

These are the attempt to satisfy that desire with something that actually works well.
And many of them do just that.
:)

The myJet is a step up for my GF from Cig-A-Likes but for me I can't say the same only it is a stealth vape for me especialy when you go from this to a myJet.

Make cash, look cool, annoy sensible vapers
Actually pod mods are best used by knowledgeable experienced vapers who know what niche they fill that nothing else does, and how to rewick or rebuild, with the exception of the Juul which is spend and go on new pods, that a good one for starters. But yes, they do have their annoyances :D

@puffon gave a link to the Vape Pod Systems thread, that's for sure the best place to learn all about pod mods. Here's my short answer to those who ask about pod mods:
Small and stealthy, can sneak a vape about anywhere when used with higher pg (low vapor) minty or other no smell juices. A quick vape when you don't have a lot of time- using high Nic salts, 36 to 45mg it only takes 5 or 6 hits to get your Nic fix and you're good to go.
No other mod I've seen does those two things as well. Plus really good flavor.
The cons are have to charge batteries more often again and pods can be expensive unless you fill your own and re-wick them. Pod mods serve a different purpose as noted above and are in addition to my other mods and tanks.

Just wanted to note...

Your use of them, and appreciation of them, is VASTLY different than mine.
Which I guess goes to show that they can fulfill more than one need.

I don't even use nicotine anymore.
And if I ever even thought of rewicking or recoiling them, I'd just give them away.

You can get a 5-pack of coils for less that a buck apiece here...

The myJET batteries last a long time and this is from personal experience. You can empty a POD before needing a charge which is a little over an ML of e-Liquid.
I think you have what, 5? You're the Myjet expert then so I will defer to you, and I do concur the batteries last a long time. I have two Myjets, and with the two, I get through a 10 hour workday and more, usually charge them late night, and then in the evening when i get home the next day, so maybe last me 12 to 14 hours using the two. Not bad, much better than the "450mah" short egos from back in the day lasted (they must have been really 200 mah). I'm gonna pick up a third soon, I just love the flavor in these things and hate playing around with rewicking the pods, good thing I can pick up a five pack of empty pods for $6.99 :)
Now compared to my istick 30 & 40WTC, which last me three days before recharging one or two of them, I have to charge the Myjet's a lot more often.

Interesting, so what are you reasons for using the iCare, small size? Tell me about the flavor! I don't know that I put that in the pod mod category, but its small, I thought of picking one up myself, so thanks for the link to cheap coils in case I do try it :)

Small size, out and about for the evening, last me all night.
I can see your point about them not really being a pod mod though.
:)

Where are you finding the MyJet pods for (5) 6.99?
Also, how many mls are in the Mr E-salt bottles?
These look like a good set up for going on vacation, without dragging all the vape gear around.
    Thanks

Got Vape: Search results for: 'myjet'
I get my nic salts juices here (I've only tried Mr. Salt-E) but also make my own DIY juices using Nude Nicotine nic salts:
    E-Liquid | E-Juice | Electronic Cigarette Liquid | Made in USA
I bought the Myjets around Christmas on sale, I don't really like paying $29 for them so look around. You won't find empty pods any cheaper than 14.99 other places though, so Got Vape is the place for those.
Pod mods are the ultimate in portability. There are pros and cons of each brand though, so you might want to check out the Vape Pod Systems thread.

The first time i saw someone vaping it was a young guy standing by his motorcycle in a parking lot in September 2014. I remeber thinking, why is that guy puffing on a shoe box with a pipe fitting on the end? It was the dorkiest thing I ever saw. A month later I was vaping. My preferred mod is the pico because it's small. The pods are too small for me but a young coworker is getting along fine with his Juul. He says it costs him $15 a week to operatte. $15 of DIY ingredients makes 6 months of e liquid for me.
