Old Style AG-126 Charger - Spring Problem

So I was charging some batteries overnight and I woke up to find that the "springs" that hold the battery contacts tight - somehow was reset or in other words, lost it's *elasticity*.

Is it completely broken (I'm currently using rubber bands) or can I unscrew the device and reset the springs somehow?

hmm.. never took one apart actually. Would be curious how you make out if you give it a try hoog..

I noticed that you have a new style AG-126 charger. Any differences?

They updated the case a little bit and it just slightly thicker. It's also multi-volt charger and will charge ni-mh and nicad's also.. The output for li-ion went down a bit from 700ma but it still charges fast..
