Well here goes...I started e-cigs in 08. Sometime in 09 I went back to the smokes, then in November 09 decided to give e-cigs a try again..so I ordered 2 different models, a generic 510 and a joye 510...well needless to say, they just didn't seem to work for me, but my husband likes them.....So I set out to find something that would work for me......I then came across the V4L sub forum and started reading...I decided to put my first order in on Christmas day, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my order. Hope this is the one that will stop me from picking up another smoke.

I found the 510 annoying personally, i can't be bothered with the maintainence and the whole dripping thing is really homo.

Once i discovered the KR808D-1 it was exactly what i wanted

Welcome to the V4L family. I also started with the 510, it now sits in a box gathering dust. I think you're going to love your VK as we all do. Keep us posted once it arrives and you get to try it out.

I hope Pawpaw and Pugzley aren't upset that I'm posting this, but I wanted our family to know what "GOOD" people they are. My son had a fire last Mon. evening and they lost everything. Pawpaw and Pugzley played Santa, and put the biggest smiles on these 2 young ladies faces (10 and 6) that we've seen in awhile. We all want to say thank-you from the bottom of our hearts. I've seen others that are also generous in this group, you all remind us of the MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. I wish everyone a very blessed and Happy New Year. If I hadnt found V4L,Id be smoking.Those 3 piece models were a big pain in the ....!!!I looked like a junkie pulling out that bottle of liquid every 2 minutes!!NO THANKS!!!

Liquids..I got.....apple,blueberry,dr.pepper,555, and cowboy...
Carto's..I got....strawberry, ry4, blueberry, peanut butter cup, and apple.

All 18mg.

Also I ordered an Automatic Ultimate Ultimatum Kit
and an extra battery - Extra long kind

I'm a newbie who started with a 510 cause that's what everyone seemed to reccomend hen I found the forum. I recently as I was getting frustrated and close to giving up bought a 510 to 808 adapter to try some cartomizers as they seemed after a month's reading to be less hassle. I also got a few carts when I bought the adapter but the flavor wasn't there. I just refilled them and what a difference. Looking forward to trying some v4l flavors as have yet to find my favorite vape to keep off the analogs. My question is will I still benefit continuously with the adapter or is there a major battery difference? I stocked up on some 510 bats so I can't afford to start from scratch again as I'm a disabled medic/firefighter. Advice would be appreciated.

I believe the primary difference you will find is battery life. I remember how quickly my 510 batteries would run out.

There might be some vapor & throat hit improvements with new batteries (especially the XLs), but I don't think the difference will be tremendous.

might have to get my husband the 510-808 adapter, so all them batteries don't go to waist.

I have both a 510 and a kr8 and it seems that the kr8 batteries last about twice the time of a 510 battery and the XL last even longer and stay at peak performance a bit longer before start to deplete which causes less vapor..so I'd pick up a charger and a battery or 2 here or there when you have the funds available when you can..I think theres a couple of people out there that even make a universal charger that'll charge both the 510 and the KR8 batteries..
