Finally, got my silver vein Omega on order today. Yes!!!!!!!!

I'm all set up to run it at 3.7 volts and am wondering if I should order the supplies I'll need to run it at 6 volts.

Originally, I wanted a high end mod so I could get the 6 volt vaping experience, but people have posted information on this forum that make it sound like the quality of the vape at 3.7 volts with a low resistance atomizer is superior to running at 6 volts with a high resistance atomizer.

A single 3.7v lithium ion battery with a 1.5 ohm low resistance atomizer will produce 9.13 watts of power at the atty.

Two 3v batteries (6 volts) with a 4.5 ohm high resistance atomizer will produce 8.00 watts of power at the atty.

Has the LR atomizer made 6 volt vaping obsolete?

Question for those of you out there that do both 3.7 and 6 volts, how do the two compare? Any input appreciated.

(Thank you Kent for posting the PV Performance Chart I took these numbers from.)

3.7v will generally produce a cooler vapor, while 6v cells much warmer. I have been running 3.7v lr, 6v, and 7.4v on my SB this week. I have also noticed that you use a lot more juice at the higher voltage. Some flavors are better, worse, or different at different voltages, so it all ends up being relative to your preference.

Throat hit should always be better at the higher voltages though.

Note the pic if "6V" is achieved by using a pair of Tenergy 3V Li-POs.

This is a loaded voltage test with a Joye 510 with freshly charged Li-POs..

Where can I find this chart? Thanks.

Basil, a more powerful vape and harder throat hit is what I am after.

I ordered two 6 volt protected battery kits yesterday and a ton of atomizers and adapters to try HV LR and regular as well as the 801 and 901 variants. I have only used the 510 variant since I graduated from the party store style ecigs.

As doots said, they all all different and you gotta try them all ... and so I shall.

Omega looks great! I'm waiting for the holiday weekend to fire it up though.

Omega is here, now to get in line for a Little Sister!
